ਬੀਤੀ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ Anthony Albanese ਨੇ ਫੈਡਰਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਾਅ ਖੇਡਿਆ - Medicare ਵਿੱਚ $8.5 ਬਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਗਈ। ਜੇਕਰ Labor ਜਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਨਵੰਬਰ 2025 ਤੋਂ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
ਜੇਕਰ ਨਵੰਬਰ 2025 ਤੋਂ Labor ਆਪਣਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਤਹਿਤ ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ Medicare 'ਤੇ doctor ਕੋਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਨੂੰ Gap payment ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ bulk billing ਵਾਲੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣ 'ਤੇ Medicare 'ਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਫਤ visit ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ Bulk Billing GP ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਹਰ ਪਿੰਡ-ਹਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ।
Labor ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ bulk billing incentives 4800 GP ਸਰਵਿਸੇਜ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਲ 2028 ਤੱਕ 2000 ਟ੍ਰੇਨੀ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਵੀ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਭਰਤੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
