Ranjodh Singh ( Founder/Director )


Ranjodh Singh is the Founder and Director of Radio Haanji, a dynamic radio platform that serves the Indian community in Australia and around the world. Originally from the village of Slaimpur in Amritsar, Punjab, Ranjodh’s journey has been shaped by a strong sense of community, entrepreneurship, and a passion for cultural connectivity.

Ranjodh completed his education at Khalsa College in Amritsar, where he developed his confidence and public speaking skills through active participation in Bhangra. This experience helped him discover his love for being on the microphone, which would later play a key role in his career.

In 2005, Ranjodh moved to Australia to study Information Systems, but his path shifted when he pursued a career in Commercial Cookery, eventually owning and running his own Indian restaurant for several years.

In April 2015, with the support of his family and a few initial team members, Ranjodh launched Radio Haanji in Melbourne. What started as a small family venture has since grown to serve listeners across Australia, with expansion into Sydney and plans for global outreach.

The backbone of Radio Haanji’s success has been its dedicated team and passionate volunteers, whose unwavering commitment has been instrumental in the station’s growth.

Ranjodh is deeply grateful to the community for its ongoing support and appreciation, which fuels his ambition to expand Radio Haanji into a global platform that continues to connect and unite Indian communities worldwide.

Preetinder Grewal ( Senior Producer, Trainer & Talent Management )


Preetinder Singh Grewal is a dynamic broadcaster and Senior Producer at Radio Haanji's Melbourne studio, with a remarkable journey from Cancer Research Scientist to media professional. Before joining Radio Haanji, he spent over a decade at SBS Radio's Punjabi Program, where he became a respected voice within the community. Immigrating to Australia in 2004, Preetinder combines his scientific expertise with his passion for community engagement. Holding a PhD in Medicine from the University of New South Wales, he has contributed extensively to cancer research through roles at institutions like Monash Medical Centre and the Lowy Cancer Institute. His work has been featured in leading national and international journals. In media, Preetinder’s broadcasts have tackled critical issues such as migration, mental health, student welfare, and environmental challenges. His exceptional work has made him a finalist in the NSW Multicultural Awards and IABCA Awards, with his stories earning nominations for prestigious honors like the New York Radio Awards, Victorian 
Multicultural Awards, and the Clarion Awards.

Beyond broadcasting, Preetinder serves as a Registered Migration Agent, addressing client visa needs with precision. With a deep understanding of the Australian Punjabi community and a strong social media presence, Preetinder bridges cultural gaps, celebrates diversity, and fosters meaningful connections through his multifaceted career. 

Gautam Kapil ( Senior Producer & Sydney Manager )


Gautam Kapil is a highly accomplished journalist, broadcaster, columnist, and blogger 
with over two decades of experience in the media industry. Holding a Master of Mass 
Communication from India and a Master of Information Systems from Australia, 
Gautam has built a career marked by versatility and excellence. 
His journey spans prestigious platforms like All India Radio, Zee News, SBS, and now 
Haanji Radio, where he continues to make his mark. Gautam is renowned for his in
depth understanding of international diplomacy, geopolitics, Bollywood, and local 
Australian issues, bringing a unique and informed perspective to every broadcast. 
Listeners know Gautam best for his engaging shows, including the Walkman Show, 
News & Views, and a range of impactful interviews across various platforms. His ability 
to connect with audiences and address critical topics has made him a trusted and 
celebrated voice in the community. 
With his vast expertise and passion for storytelling, Gautam Kapil remains an integral 
part of Haanji Radio, inspiring and informing listeners through his thought-provoking 
content.

Vishal Vijay Singh ( Producer & Incharge Melbourne Ops )


Since 2014, Vishal Vijay Singh has called the vibrant city of Melbourne home, bringing his boundless energy and passion to Radio Haanji in 2016. Originally from the cultural hub of Amritsar, Punjab, Vishal has spent nearly a decade building connections and fostering community through his dynamic on-air presence. At Radio Haanji, Vishal specializes in hosting engaging interviews and podcasts with renowned actors, entertainers, and visionaries from Punjab and Bollywood, bridging cultures and bringing stories to life. Deeply committed to storytelling, he celebrates multiculturalism by addressing key issues and sharing the inspiring journeys of young immigrants. Whether broadcasting or attending community events, Vishal thrives on showcasing the rich diversity and unity that define Melbourne.

Off-air, Vishal is a true entrepreneur. He manages a Punjabi book website dedicated to preserving the region’s literary heritage and works as a committed real estate agent. A passionate traveller and avid reader, he draws inspiration from people and their stories, infusing his work with a unique, vibrant energy. For Vishal, Radio Haanji isn’t just a platform—it’s a space to grow with the community, celebrate its achievements, and amplify its voices. 

Amrinder Gidda ( Senior Producer & Consultant )


Amrinder Gidda brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and expertise to every project he undertakes. Known for his strategic management, creative storytelling, and strong community connections, he oversees content production and fosters relationships with diverse audiences. 

 Specializing in interviews with politicians and community leaders, Amrinder provides insightful perspectives on important issues. He also focuses on delivering knowledge-based programs, covering topics like insurance, financial literacy, and social issues, making complex subjects accessible and engaging for his listeners. 

Amrinder is a sports journalist with over 20 years of experience, known for insightful analysis and engaging storytelling. The author of a book on hockey “Bharti Hockey De Nabar”. He has covered major events like the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Australian Open, A-League, and AFL. 

A passionate fan of soccer, Amrinder loves watching live games in stadiums and stays updated on current affairs. The ultimate dream is to cover the Olympic Games, witnessing the world’s top athletes compete. With a deep love for sports and an enduring dedication to excellence, Amrinder continues to inspire and inform audiences at Radio Haanji. 

Jasmine Kaur ( Radio Presenter & Marketing Consultant )


Jasmine Kaur is a dedicated broadcaster and an integral part of the Radio Haanji family, sharing her unique voice with the community since December 2016. Immigrating to Australia in early 2007, Jasmine brings a deep understanding of cultural connections and an unwavering passion for storytelling. Her shows explore a wide array of topics, from current affairs and community issues in Australia to nostalgic reflections on childhood and her home country. What sets Jasmine apart is her love for literature. She delights her listeners with poetry and storytelling, creating moments of reflection and inspiration on air. For her, radio is a form of meditation—a medium that allows her to connect, share, and uplift. Alongside her radio career, Jasmine is a seasoned portfolio manager with over a decade of expertise in property management. Her dedication to excellence and problem-solving is matched only by her passion for nurturing community ties. Currently in the final year of her Bachelor of Laws degree, Jasmine is preparing to embrace new challenges in the legal field. 

An avid traveller and lifelong learner, Jasmine thrives on meeting new people, exploring diverse cultures, and challenging her assumptions. Her life’s motto is to spread happiness and kindness, making the world a brighter, better place through her work and personal values. 

Nonia P Dayal ( Radio Presenter )


Nonnia brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and joy to Haanji Radio with her 
unique blend of professional and personal passions. As an on-air host, Nonnia 
connects with listeners, offering valuable insights into overall health and wellbeing, 
mental health awareness, and traditional gharelu nuske (home remedies). She also 
creates a lively atmosphere by encouraging laughter, and inviting listeners to share their 
voices through poetry, singing, and traditional Punjabi folk songs. 
Professionally, Nonnia is an experienced bookkeeper with over 25 years of experience 
working with Australian and international businesses. But beyond the numbers, she is 
deeply committed to holistic wellness, practising reiki, hypnotherapy, and counselling. 
She actively contributes to her community by volunteering her time to offer reiki, 
reflexology, and acupressure. 
Nonnia follows the motto Mann Jeete Jag Jeet (to conquer the world, conquer yourself), 
a guiding principle that drives her approach to life. Through her work at Haanji, she 
aspires to create a space where mental health is prioritised, laughter is celebrated, and 
traditional Punjabi culture is cherished. She hopes to inspire others to connect with 
their inner selves and their community, making a meaningful impact both on air and in 
the lives of those around her. 

Sukh Parmar ( Radio Presenter )


Sukh Parmar is a dynamic and dedicated Radio Jockey at Haanji Radio, known for 
hosting the popular Tuesday Haanji Melbourne Show. Her programs focus on pressing 
community issues, offering thoughtful discussions and valuable insights that inspire 
awareness and engagement among her listeners. 
A proud postgraduate of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Sukh holds a Master’s 
degree in Punjabi. Her diverse professional journey includes roles as a teacher, beauty 
therapist, and hairdresser before she began her radio career in 2021. Since moving to 
Australia in 2013, she has embraced new opportunities while maintaining a deep 
connection to her roots, her family, and her community. 
Sukh is passionate about promoting the Punjabi language and culture. Through her 
extensive reach, she has helped many children learn and appreciate Punjabi, using 
radio as a powerful medium to celebrate and preserve this rich heritage. 
With her unique blend of professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to the 
community, Sukh envisions Haanji Radio as a platform for meaningful dialogue, cultural 
connection, and inspiration. She continues to make a significant impact through her 
work, championing Punjabi culture and fostering connections across the community. 

Dr Harpreet Shergil ( Radio Presenter (Nani Ji Show) )


Meet our team – Dr Harpreet Shergill “Nani Ji” 

Dr Harpreet Shergill is a multitalented all-rounder that presents the program Nani Ji on Radio Haanji’s Melbourne studio. Dr Shergill has been with the radio since 2017 and has broadcast the program Nani Ji since then, which focuses on talks about family, children and relationships.

Dr Harpreet Shergill was the first Indian Olympian who completed her PhD in her own sport. She also has under her belt World Hockey Cup and World Hockey Championship. She taught at Guru Nanak Dev University for 17 years and including being head of her department for part of that time. After migrating to New Zealand and continued her teaching for a further 12 years. Then finally migrating to Australia and is currently still teaching since 2013. She has presented the ‘Sports Program’ on ‘Jalandhar Door Darshan’ for more than a decade.

Dr Shergill is a respected member of the local community and uses her experience and wisdom to provide information and guidance to our listeners about building and retaining good family relationships, how to raise children in these modern times and other topics related to children and families.

Nani Ji does a lot of community work within the local Punjabi community through their group “Apna Virsa Apni Boli.” In addition, currently being the secretary of “Caroline Springs Hockey Club”, captain of the women’s team and promoting hockey in the local community. 

Harseen Kaur Maan ( Radio Presenter (Sydney) )


Meet Harseen Maan, an energetic, multitalented, and ambitious young woman with an impressive public profile in Sydney. Harseen’s journey is a testament to her dedication and diverse talents.

Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Science (P.U Chd) and an MBA from (Punjab Technical University Jalandhar). After moving to Australia in 2018, she furthered her career by completing Nursing qualifications and working as a paramedic with NPT. Since 2019, Harseen has also been thriving as a full-time Finance Broker, showcasing her adaptability and professional versatility.

Harseen’s passion for athletics and community building shines through her successful Glenwood Athletics & Sports Club, where she trains and inspires athletes to reach their full potential.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Harseen is a gifted show presenter (MC), hosting prominent events like Satinder Sartaj’s and the Waris Brothers’ Virsa concerts in Sydney. Her deep connection to Punjabi culture has also seen her serve as a judge at various Punjabi folk festivals.

In 2021, Harseen joined Radio Hanji as a presenter, where she continues to engage audiences with her charismatic personality and love for storytelling.

As an athlete, Harseen has represented Australia internationally, including at the 2024 World Police and Fire Games in Canada, and has competed in numerous state, national, and international competitions, making her a true sports ambassador.

Harseen Maan’s story is one of passion, hard work, and boundless aspirations. Whether in sports, professional life, or cultural contributions, she embodies inspiration and dedication.

Yash Kaur ( Radio Presenter )


Yashpreet Kaur is our newly joined radio presenter at Radio Haanji's Melbourne studio. She focuses on delivering engaging and impactful content tailored to the audience's interests. Her on-air presence includes presenting art, culture, food, and topics that inspire health, happiness, and positivity. As our Hindi language presenter, her goal is to ensure that every broadcast resonates with our listeners, fostering a strong connection between Radio Haanji and the community.

Yashpreet brings over 8 years of experience in public relations from India, which equips her with excellent communication skills, audience engagement strategies, and an understanding of media trends. Her educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Journalism and Mass Communications and an MBA from CDU Darwin, giving her a blend of creative and analytical expertise. These qualifications enable her to approach her work with professionalism, strategic thinking, and a passion for storytelling.

On a personal note, Yashpreet has a deep love for radio as a medium that brings people together. She enjoys exploring creative writing, especially poetry, and believes in the power of words to uplift and inspire. Her hobbies include staying updated on media trends, trying new cuisines, and practicing mindfulness to maintain a positive outlook on life.

At Radio Haanji, her vision is to make a meaningful impact by creating content that informs, entertains, and inspires. She aspires to innovate within the broadcasting space by exploring new formats, digital platforms, and interactive ways to engage the audience. She aims to amplify voices from diverse communities, share untold stories, and use the power of radio to connect and empower listeners.

Her ultimate goal is to grow both personally and professionally while contributing to the continued success and reach of Radio Haanji.

Mantej Singh ( RJ Entertainer(Sydney) )


Mantej Singh aka RJ Entertainer Monty is an Event planner,Party entertainer and Telecom engineer.He migrated to Australia in 2016 with his 16 years in Telecom Experience but now he is following his passion of entertainment only.


He joined Radio Haanji Sydney team in 2023 and started his comedy show with co-host Gautam Kapil.He is also managing podcasts,interviews,event coverages for Sydney team.He is doing short films,video songs,theatre,kids entertainment in birthday parties and joined different agencies for corporate gigs.


He left his telecom profession to follow his passion for rest of his life.He is now full time Event planner and will arrange Venue,Catering,Cake,Return Gifts,DJ,Dance Groups,Dance Floors,Photography,Decoration,Kids Entertainment,Face Painting and Stage Host for your party.

Pritam Singh Rupal ( Senior Journalist )


Pritam Singh Rupal's academic career presents a kalaedoscopic spectacle of literature, journalism, mountaineering, research and creativity. Since he has a flair for creative writing, he has, to his credit, the publication of several books including two travelogues, Kulu Wadi Wich Das Din and Chall Jindua. His research work comprises a dissertation on Punjabi literary journalism entitled Punjabi Sahitik Pattarkari-Ik Adhyayan and research on theatrical devices in folk dances of Punjab. Moreover, he has more than 200 articles,features and news features published in various reputed Punjabi dailies. He has also translated a couple of books entitled 'Desh Videsh De Maha Pursh' and Birju Te Udna Ghora. He has exhibited his dramatic talent by participating in about 20 production of Lok Kala Manch Mansa as also in popular Punjabi T.V. serial Eho Hamara Jeevna.In addition to this he has given his voice to more than two dozen documentary films telecasted on Doordarshan and other satellite channels. Besides he has also been a part of various mountaineering expeditions. Presently he is woking as Senior Newscaster in All India Radio.Chandigarh.
