Where Science Meets Spirit: The First Sikh Games International Coaches Conference

As heard on Radio Haanji 1674 AM with host Gautam Kapil.

Today on Radio Haanji, the airwaves were buzzing with a conversation that could change the future of Punjabi sports in Australia. Host Gautam Kapil was joined by three heavyweights of the sporting world—Kuldip Singh Bassi, Taqdir Singh Deol, and Dr. Sukhjivan Singh—to make a historic announcement.

For the first time in the history of the Australian Sikh Games, we are witnessing the launch of the International Coaches Conference, scheduled for 5 April 2026 in Melbourne.

Old Wisdom, New Science

The central theme of the interview was a powerful concept: "Shaping Coaches Who Shape the Future of Sport."

This conference isn't just for elite coaches; it is a wake-up call for parents and local club mentors. The goal is to move away from "guessing" how to train our kids and start using evidence-based methods to prevent injury and build sustainable careers.

Meet the Legends Behind the Vision

Gautam Kapil highlighted the incredible lineup leading this initiative, particularly the founder, Mr. Kuldip Singh Bassi.
