ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ’ਚ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ
ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਰਾਇਲ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ’ਚ ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੈ। 33 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ’ਚ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਟੈਕ ਜਲੰਧਰ ’ਚੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। 2017 ’ਚ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਖਤ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਦੇ 33 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਰਾਇਲ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ (RAAF) ’ਚ ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ’ਤੇ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਮੀ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ’ਚ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਲਜ ’ਚੋਂ ਬੀਟੈਕ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਫੌਜ ’ਚ ਇਹ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ’ਚੋਂ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਹਨ, ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ’ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਜਤਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ’ਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤ ’ਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ। 2017 ’ਚ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੀਰ ’ਚ ਆਪ Pioਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ’ਚ ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।”
ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ 2017 ’ਚ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੋਇੰਦਵਾਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ’ਚ ਇੱਕ ਥਰਮਲ ਪਾਵਰ ਪਲਾਂਟ ’ਚ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। 2019 ’ਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ’ਚ ਸੈਟਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਸੇਵਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸਖਤ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ’ਚ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
Kamalpreet Singh, a 33-year-old from Kapurthala, Punjab, has brought pride to his hometown and state by earning a commission as a Flying Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Having completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya and Army Public School in Kapurthala, Kamalpreet went on to earn a BTech degree from a college in Jalandhar. His determination and hard work led him to achieve this prestigious position in the Australian military.
Kamalpreet’s father, Seva Singh, a retired Indian Army officer, expressed immense pride in his son’s military career. He said, “Kamalpreet always dreamed of joining the defense services. While in India, he worked hard but faced challenges in achieving his goal. After moving to Australia in 2017, he continued his efforts and finally realized his dream of becoming a Flying Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.”
Before moving to Australia, Kamalpreet worked as an engineer at a thermal power plant in Goindwal Sahib. In 2019, his parents and siblings also settled in Australia. Seva Singh shared that Kamalpreet underwent rigorous training and examinations to join the Australian Air Force, showcasing his dedication. His achievement has inspired the Punjabi community and the Indian diaspora, serving as an example of perseverance and commitment to a military career.
