ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੀ ਦਸਤਕ: ਗਰਮੀ ਵਧਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਛਾਲ, ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਤੱਕ 10,000 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਗਰਮੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧਦੇ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਭਲਕੇ ਤੱਕ 10,000 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਦਸ਼ਾ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਸਮ ਦੇ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਧਦੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੂਰੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਵਧਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਖਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਛਾਲ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਾਵਰਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਲਕੇ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ 10,000 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਗਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਵਾਧੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਏਅਰ ਕੰਡੀਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਲਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਵਧ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਅਸਰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਚੇਨ 'ਤੇ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਾਵਰਕਾਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਵਧਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੇ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੰਗ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਧਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੱਟ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਿੰਚਾਈ ਲਈ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਵਧਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਗਰਿੱਡਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਲੋਡ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੁਸਾਫਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਜਮ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਿਸਟਮ 'ਤੇ ਵਾਧੂ ਬੋਝ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਵੋਲਟੇਜ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਲਕੇ ਕੱਟਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਬਰਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਲਪਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਦਯੋਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਖਪਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ।
The changing weather patterns and rising temperatures in Punjab have heightened concerns for the state's power department. Due to the increasing heat across the state, including Amritsar, a sudden and sharp surge in electricity consumption has been observed. According to PSPCL (Powercom) officials, the demand for power is rising rapidly and it is estimated that by tomorrow, this demand could touch the 10,000 megawatt (MW) mark.
The sudden spike in heat has led to an increased use of air conditioners and coolers, which is directly impacting the power supply chain. While PSPCL is making every effort to meet this rising demand, the possibility of power cuts in the coming days cannot be ruled out if the consumption continues to climb at this pace. Additionally, the load on power grids has increased significantly due to the heightened need for electricity for irrigation in the agricultural sector.
Officials have urged the general public to use electricity judiciously to avoid putting excess strain on the system. Reports of voltage fluctuations and minor power cuts are already emerging from several parts of Punjab. The government is currently exploring options for additional power generation and purchasing electricity from external sources to ensure that industries and domestic consumers do not face significant hardships.
