ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਾਹਾਕਾਰ ਮਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਪੰਪਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਬੋਤਲਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਡੱਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਤੇਲ ਵੇਚਣ 'ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਿਟੀ ਬਿਊਟੀਫੁੱਲ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੀ ਲਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਾਹਾਕਾਰ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ 80 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਪੰਪਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੰਪ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ 'ਆਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਸਟਾਕ' (Out of Stock) ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੇਲ ਟੈਂਕਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਚੇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਪੰਪਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਲੰਬੀਆਂ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਬੱਧੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਈ ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਜਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਪੰਪ ਮਾਲਕ ਬੋਤਲਾਂ, ਕੈਨੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਤੇਲ ਦੀ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂਖੋਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਡਿਊਟੀ ਮੈਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਪਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The City Beautiful, Chandigarh, is currently gripped by a severe fuel crisis. A major shortage of petrol and diesel has triggered chaos across the city. According to reports, nearly 80 percent of the petrol pumps in Chandigarh have completely run out of fuel, leading owners to display 'Out of Stock' signs.
The primary reason for this shortage is attributed to the oil tanker strike and disruptions in the supply chain. At the few pumps where fuel is still available, vehicle queues spanning several kilometers can be observed. People are waiting for hours for their turn, leading to traffic congestion in various parts of the city.
To prevent the situation from escalating, the Chandigarh administration has taken strict measures. According to orders issued by the administration, no petrol pump owner is allowed to sell fuel in bottles, cans, or any open containers. This decision was made to curb fuel hoarding and ensure safety. Duty magistrates have been deployed to monitor the situation at filling stations.
