ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ' ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਦਰਜਾ: ਮੀਟ, ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਬਾਕੂ 'ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਾਗੂ
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ — ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ (ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਲਿਆਰਾ ਖੇਤਰ), ਸ੍ਰੀ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ — ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ 'ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ' ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਟ, ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, ਤੰਬਾਕੂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵੀ ਕਰੇਗੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਗਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹਾਨ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ 'ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ' (Holy Cities) ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਗਲਿਆਰਾ ਖੇਤਰ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਦੇ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਅਤੇ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ (ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਮੀਟ, ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਬਾਕੂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ 350ਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਪੁਰਬ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਮਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 15 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਅਮਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਫੈਸਲੇ 'ਤੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਰ-ਸਪਾਟਾ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਈ-ਰਿਕਸ਼ਾ, ਸ਼ਟਲ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੰਨੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਜਨਤਕ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏਗੀ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਏਗੀ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ।
Respecting the deep emotions of the Sikh world, the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has officially declared the cities housing three great Takht Sahibs as 'Holy Cities'. In a video message on Sunday, the Chief Minister announced that a strict ban on the sale of meat, alcohol, and tobacco is now in force in the Heritage Street area of Amritsar (Sri Harmandir Sahib), Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda (Sri Damdama Sahib), and Sri Anandpur Sahib in Rupnagar (Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib).
The Chief Minister noted that following a resolution passed unanimously during a special Vidhan Sabha session held last month to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, the government issued the formal notification on December 15. This decision has now come into practical effect. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire Sikh Sangat on this historic milestone.
Along with this status, the Punjab government is committed to developing these cities into world-class religious and tourism hubs. According to Bhagwant Mann, the government will provide public transport facilities such as e-rickshaws, shuttle buses, and mini-buses for the convenience of devotees. The government will ensure that the sanctity of these holy sites is maintained and that pilgrims arriving from across the globe face no hardships during their visit.
