ਸੋਨਮ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਰਾਂਜ਼ਿਟ ਲਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ
ਇੰਦੌਰ ਦੀ ਸੋਨਮ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ, ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਨੂੰ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਰਾਂਜ਼ਿਟ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਲਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਢਾਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੇਘਾਲਿਆ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਤਿੰਨ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇੰਦੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇੰਦੌਰ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੋਨਮ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 24 ਸਾਲ ਹੈ, ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਲਈ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ। ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਟਰਾਂਜ਼ਿਟ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਮੇਘਾਲਿਆ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਸੋਨਮ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਰਹੀ। ਸੋਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ, ਜੋ ਲਲਿਤਪੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਇੰਦੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਐਸਪੀ ਇਰਾਜ਼ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੋਨਮ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰਾਨਸੀ-ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੜਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਢਾਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਸਦਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਵਨ ਸਟੌਪ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਮਦਦ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਢਾਬੇ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੋਨਮ ਨੇ ਇੰਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੋਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਢਾਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਫੋਨ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਫੋਨ ਕਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਟਰੇਸ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਫਿਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨਮ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ। ਮੇਘਾਲਿਆ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਢੇ ਛੇ ਵਜੇ ਸੋਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਨ ਸਟੌਪ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਸੋਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੰਦਗੰਜ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਥਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਸੋਨਮ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਵੀ ਮੇਘਾਲਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਪੁਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇ ਸੋਨਮ ਰਘੂਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ।” ਜਦੋਂ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਨਮ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਅਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਪਿਛਲੇ 17 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਘਾਲਿਆ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।”
Sonam Raghuvanshi, a 24-year-old resident of Indore, faces allegations of contract killing in the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. On Monday night, she was presented in the Ghazipur court, where a transit remand was requested. The Meghalaya police arrived in Ghazipur on Monday evening to take Sonam Raghuvanshi into custody. She had surrendered herself to the Uttar Pradesh police in Ghazipur on Monday morning, an act of self-surrender. The Ghazipur court proceedings continued late into the night. Apart from Sonam, the police made arrests of three other individuals, including Akash Rajput, a resident of Lalitpur, with the arrest operation conducted in Indore. So far, five people have been apprehended in this murder and contract killing case.
Ghazipur’s SP, Iraj Raja, stated that Sonam Raghuvanshi was arrested from Kashi Dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur main road. After the arrest, she was sent to Sadar Hospital for medical aid and later shifted to the One Stop Center, a facility providing medical aid and legal aid to women in distress. A Kashi Dhaba employee told reporters that Sonam Raghuvanshi borrowed a phone to call her parents in Indore. This phone call allowed the Madhya Pradesh police to trace her location. They coordinated with the Uttar Pradesh police, leading to her arrest. The Meghalaya police team took Sonam Raghuvanshi into custody from the One Stop Center around 6:30 PM on Monday. Although the arrest took place at Kashi Dhaba, the police clarified that Sonam had completed her self-surrender at the Nandganj police station in Ghazipur.
Meanwhile, Sonam’s brother, Govind, arrived in Ghazipur from Meghalaya. He told reporters, “If Sonam Raghuvanshi is guilty in this murder case, she should face punishment, even the death penalty. We will accept the government’s decision.” When asked if he had spoken to Sonam, Govind said, “I don’t know anything yet. I haven’t met her. For the last 17 days, I haven’t slept, searching for her with the Meghalaya police.”
