ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਮਲ ਸਵੇਰੇ 8 ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ 4 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁੱਲ 47 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬੈਲਟ ਪੇਪਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਪਾਈ ਦੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਰ ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪੈਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੋਟ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਅਮਲ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ 8 ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਮ 4:30 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 47 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ 105 ਸਾਲਾ ਬੀਬੀ ਨਸੀਬ ਕੌਰ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਵੋਟਰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਮਪਤਨੀ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੰਗਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥ 'ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੋਟ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੁੱਜਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਕੁਝ ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਿਆ। ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਚਾਰ ਥਾਵਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਖਾਸਾ ਤੇ ਖੁਰਮਾਣੀਆਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, 'ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਬੈਲਟ ਪੇਪਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਚੋਣ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਗਲਤ ਛਪੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪੈਣਗੀਆਂ। ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਹਲਕਾ ਸ਼ੁਤਰਾਣਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਪੰਜ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਬਾਈਕਾਟ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 23 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦਾਂ ਦੇ 347 ਜ਼ੋਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ 153 ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ 2,838 ਜ਼ੋਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਲਈ 18,718 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 1,36,04,650 ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਕ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ 44 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ
The process of casting votes for the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in Punjab began at 8 AM today and was conducted peacefully. A total of 47 percent polling was recorded across Punjab until 4:30 PM. Enthusiasm was observed among the rural voters, including centenarians like 105-year-old Bibi Naseeb Kaur in Chamkaur Sahib.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with his wife Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, exercised their right to vote at a polling booth in Mangwal village near Sangrur. He appealed to the public to visit the polling booths in large numbers.
Meanwhile, the election process was disrupted in a few places. The Election Commission cancelled the election at four locations, including Khasa and Khurmanian villages in Amritsar district. This action was taken following a complaint that the election symbol of the Aam Aadmi Party candidate was printed incorrectly on the ballot paper. Re-polling at these four places will be held on Tuesday. Five villages in the Shutrana constituency of Patiala district also completely boycotted the elections in protest against a change in their block boundary.
The Election Commission had established 18,718 polling booths for the voting covering 347 zones of 23 Zila Parishads and 2,838 zones of 153 Panchayat Samitis. A total of 1,36,04,650 voters in the state exercised their franchise. More than 44,000 police personnel were deployed to ensure the peaceful conduct of the election arrangements
