Didar Singh

Didar Singh is a researcher, writer, and scholar with a deep interest in Sikh history, Gurbani, Punjabi heritage, and Sikh philosophy. His passion for these subjects began at an early age and inspired him to pursue a lifelong journey of learning, research, and academic excellence.
He completed his primary education at his village government school before pursuing higher education while residing in Khadur Sahib. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Guru Nanak Dev University. Alongside his academic studies, he completed a five-year Gurmat Diploma, which provided him with an in-depth understanding of the fundamental principles of Sikhism, Gurbani, Sikh history, Sikh philosophy, and the beliefs and traditions of various world religions.
Didar Singh is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Guru Nanak Dev University. His research focuses on exploring significant and lesser-studied aspects of Sikh history and Gurmat philosophy through a scholarly and research-based approach, with the aim of presenting authentic and evidence-based knowledge to society.
His primary areas of interest include Sikh history, Gurbani studies, Sikh philosophy, Punjabi language, literature, and cultural heritage. He believes that history is not merely a record of the past but a valuable guide for understanding the present and shaping the future. Guided by this philosophy, he is committed to making historical sources, authentic literature, and research-based knowledge accessible to a wider audience in a clear, reliable, and easy-to-understand manner.
Research, writing, and continuous learning form an integral part of his professional and personal life. Through his work, Didar Singh strives to connect the younger generation with Sikh history, Gurbani, and Punjabi heritage by sharing factual, well-researched, and authentic knowledge. He believes that the sharing of knowledge strengthens society intellectually and helps preserve and celebrate its rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
