ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਤੇ ਪਨਬੱਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ
ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਸਕੀਮ ਟੈਂਡਰ 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਟਾਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਨਬੱਸ ਵਰਕਰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਅਣਮਿਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਨੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਕਾ ਜਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਰਣਜੋਧ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਡਾਣਾ ਦੇ ਘਿਰਾਓ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵੀ ਰੱਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਸਕੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਾੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਨਬੱਸ ਵਰਕਰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਅਣਮਿਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਵੀ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ 17 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 12 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਬੱਸ ਅੱਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੇਟ ਰੈਲੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੱਕਾ ਜਾਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਹੋਈ। ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਜਾਮ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਰਾਹਗੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਸੂਬਾਈ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਹਰਕੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਕੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਹੁਣ 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਟਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਰਣਜੋਧ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਡਾਣਾ ਦੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੋਠੀ ਦਾ ਅਣਮਿਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਘਿਰਾਓ ਵੀ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਰਕੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਕੀ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੱਕਾ ਜਾਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਣਮਿਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਸਕੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਨਬੱਸ ਵਰਕਰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੰਮੇ ਅਰਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਹੜਤਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੈਲੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਹਨ। ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰੋਡਵੇਜ਼, ਪਨਬੱਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਕਾਂਟ੍ਰੈਕਟ ਵਰਕਰਜ਼ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਕਰਨਾ, ਕਾਂਟ੍ਰੈਕਟ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਥਿਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੀਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਨਬੱਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਵੀ ਵਧ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Following the government's decision to defer the program for opening tenders related to the kilometer scheme, the PRTC and Punbus Workers' Union has also postponed the indefinite strike. Today, on November 17, 2025, the union observed a strike from 12 PM to 5 PM, during which major bus stands across Punjab were closed and gate rallies were held. This led to a complete halt in bus services, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. Traffic jams occurred in several places, creating major difficulties for commuters as well. Union State Spokesperson Harkesh Vicky Patiala stated that the government has now postponed the tender opening to December 2, so the strike has been withdrawn after 5 PM. As a result, the indefinite siege of PRTC Chairman Ranjodh Singh Hadana's residence in Patiala has also been deferred. Harkesh Vicky warned that if the government opens the tenders on December 2, an indefinite strike with a complete bus blockade will be observed across Punjab. This strike was in response to the workers' grievances regarding the kilometer scheme, which has been ongoing for a long time under the PRTC and Punbus Workers' Union. The union has previously held several strikes and rallies, but the government's failure to fulfill promises has left the employees disappointed. Today's strike also caused considerable damage to passengers, especially women and children. The Punjab Roadways, Punbus, and PRTC Contract Workers' Union has reiterated its demands on this occasion, which include regularizing jobs, abolishing the contract system, and inducting new buses. The government had previously promised to resolve the employees' demands, but today's decision has provided some relief. The union has decided to keep an eye on the situation until December 2 and launch a major strike if the promises are not fulfilled. In this way, the postponement of the PRTC and Punbus employees' strike has brought relief to passengers, but the possibility of further struggle in the future has increased.
