ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ 'ਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਕਤਲ; ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ-ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ
ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਖੀ ਦਾਦਰੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ 30 ਸਾਲਾ ਵਿਜੈ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਿਓਰਾਨ ਦਾ 25 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਵੋਰਸੈਸਟਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਕੂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਜੈ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਜੈ ਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗਏ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਪੁੱਤ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਹਿਰਾ ਸਦਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਖੀ ਦਾਦਰੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਜਗਰਾਮਬਾਸ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ 30 ਸਾਲਾ ਵਿਜੈ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਿਓਰਾਨ, ਜੋ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ਼ ਦਿ ਵੈਸਟ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ (UWE) ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਨੂੰ 25 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਰਸੈਸਟਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਝ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਬੇਰਹਿਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਵਿਜੈ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੰਗੀ-ਖਾਸੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ (ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਐਕਸਾਈਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਟਮਜ਼ ਵਿਭਾਗ) ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਰੂਪ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇਸ ਦਰਦਨਾਕ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ ਭਰੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੱਥ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਜੈ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾ, ਰਵੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਗੁਹਾਰ ਲਗਾਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕੋ-ਇੱਕ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਦਾ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਘਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਖਰੀ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਾਡਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਣ। ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ 'ਤੇ ਟਿਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।
The tragic news of the death of a promising son from Haryana, who went abroad with big dreams, has deeply shocked his family. Vijay Kumar Sheoran, 30, a resident of Jagrambas village in Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana, who was studying at the University of the West of England (UWE) in England, was brutally stabbed to death by some unknown individuals in the city of Worcester on November 25.
Vijay had left his stable job in India (Central Excise and Customs Department in Kochi) to pursue a new path for his future abroad. The family is completely devastated by this painful incident and suspects that some youths from Haryana and Punjab living there might be behind this hateful murder, though UK police have not disclosed any details.
Vijay's elder brother, Ravi Kumar, has written an emotional letter to India's Ministry of External Affairs appealing for help. Their only desire is for their younger brother's body to be brought back home with respect so that they can bid a final farewell to their beloved son by performing the last rites. The British police are investigating the matter, but the family's hope is now solely fixed on the government's assistance to end their suffering and secure justice.
