ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ 'ਤੇ 'ਫੁੱਲ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ' (Full Emergency) ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਰਨਵੇਅ 'ਤੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਐਂਬੂਲੈਂਸਾਂ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਧੀਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਰਨਵੇਅ 'ਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ। ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਸਾਰੇ 200 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੂ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਨ।

Chaos ensued at the Kolkata airport when a Turkish Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing under critical conditions. According to reports, while the Turkish Airlines flight (en route from Istanbul to Bangkok) was in Indian airspace, sparks and flames were suddenly observed emanating from the aircraft's right engine. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the pilot immediately contacted the Kolkata Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested permission for an emergency landing in Kolkata.
Given the seriousness of the incident, a 'Full Emergency' was declared at the airport. Fire brigade vehicles and ambulances were stationed along the runway as a precautionary measure. With immense patience and expertise, the pilot managed to land the plane safely on the Kolkata runway. All 200+ passengers and crew members on board are reported to be completely safe.
Passengers recounted that the sight of the engine fire in the sky created a wave of panic inside the cabin, with many starting to pray for their lives. Following the successful landing, all passengers were safely evacuated and provided with necessary accommodation. A team of technical experts is currently investigating the cause of the fire. Preliminary findings suggest a technical malfunction. Due to this incident, the schedules of several other flights at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport were temporarily affected.
