ਇਥੋਪੀਆ ਜਵਾਲਾਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ: ਓਮਾਨ 'ਚ ਰਾਖ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਈ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ, ਡੀਜੀਸੀਏ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਜਾਰੀ
ਇਥੋਪੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਵਾਲਾਮੁਖੀ ਫਟਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਿਕਲੀ ਰਾਖ ਓਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਧ ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਸਫਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਆਈ ਹੈ। ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਡੀਜੀਸੀਏ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਐਲਐਮ (KLM), ਆਕਾਸਾ ਏਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਡੀਗੋ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਰਾਖ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲ ਵਧ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਡਾਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਇਥੋਪੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ 'ਹੇਲੀ ਗੁੱਬੀ' (Hayli Gubbi) ਜਵਾਲਾਮੁਖੀ ਦੇ ਫਟਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਜਵਾਲਾਮੁਖੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਰਾਖ (Volcanic Ash) ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਡਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਓਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਮਨ ਦੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਰਾਖ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਜਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਕਈ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਰੈਗੂਲੇਟਰ ਡੀਜੀਸੀਏ (DGCA) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਲਾਹ (Advisory) ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਡੀਜੀਸੀਏ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਓਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਮਸਕਟ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਸਾਵਧਾਨੀ ਵਰਤਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਈ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੂਟ ਬਦਲ ਲਏ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਕੇਐਲਐਮ (KLM) ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਨੇ ਐਮਸਟਰਡਮ ਤੋਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਡਾਣ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਆਕਾਸਾ ਏਅਰ (Akasa Air) ਨੇ 24 ਅਤੇ 25 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਲਈ ਜੇਦਾਹ, ਕੁਵੈਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਬੂ ਧਾਬੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇੰਡੀਗੋ (IndiGo) ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਉਡਾਣ, ਜੋ ਕੰਨੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਬੂ ਧਾਬੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਰਾਖ ਦੇ ਖਤਰੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਹਿਮਦਾਬਾਦ ਵੱਲ ਮੋੜਨਾ ਪਿਆ।
ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਇਹ ਜਵਾਲਾਮੁਖੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਖ ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਉਮੀਦ ਜਤਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸ ਰਾਖ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰਤਾ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਫਲਾਈਟ ਦਾ ਸਟੇਟਸ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਚੈੱਕ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ।
The eruption of the 'Hayli Gubbi' volcano in Ethiopia has severely impacted air travel conditions. The heavy volcanic ash emitted from the eruption has drifted with the wind to the skies over Oman and Yemen. Due to the risk of damage to aircraft engines from these dangerous ash clouds, several flights have been cancelled keeping safety as the top priority.
Taking serious note of the situation, the Indian aviation regulator DGCA has issued a special advisory for Indian airlines. The DGCA has stated that aircraft operating in the Muscat region of Oman should exercise extreme caution or avoid that route entirely. Following this warning, many airline companies have either altered their routes or cancelled their flights.
According to reports, KLM Airlines has cancelled its flight from Amsterdam to Delhi. Similarly, Indian carrier Akasa Air has announced the cancellation of its flights to Jeddah, Kuwait, and Abu Dhabi for November 24 and 25. An IndiGo flight, which was en route from Kannur to Abu Dhabi, also had to be diverted to Ahmedabad due to the threat of ash.
Experts suggest that this volcanic ash is now moving eastwards, and its impact might be seen over some parts of North India, such as Gujarat and Rajasthan. However, it is expected that the intensity of the ash will decrease while crossing the ocean. Airlines have advised passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
