ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ 'ਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ: 4 ਕਿੱਲੋ 'ਆਈਸ' ਡਰੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਸਮੇਤ 3 ਤਸਕਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 4 ਕਿੱਲੋ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ 'ਆਈਸ' (ਮੈਥਮਫੇਟਾਮਾਈਨ) ਅਤੇ 1 ਕਿੱਲੋ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮੁਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਸਕਰ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਡਰੋਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੰਗਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਟਸਐਪ (WhatsApp) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ (Punjab Police) ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਵਿੱਢੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਗਿਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਲੱਕ ਤੋੜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 4.08 ਕਿੱਲੋ 'ਆਈਸ' ਡਰੱਗ (Ice Drug/Methamphetamine) ਅਤੇ 1.03 ਕਿੱਲੋ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ (Heroin) ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ (DGP) ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ ਬਿੰਦਰ (ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾਓਕੇ), ਨਵਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ (ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਾਹਵਾ) ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਵਾਸੀ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ) ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਡਰੱਗ ਮਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਤਾਰ: ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗਿਰੋਹ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ (Pakistan) ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਐਪ ਵਟਸਐਪ (WhatsApp) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਤਸਕਰ ਡਰੋਨ (Drone) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਖੇਪ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਲ੍ਹ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਹਿਮ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Achieving a major breakthrough in the campaign against drugs, the Punjab Police has dismantled a cross-border drug smuggling cartel. During a special operation, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police arrested three drug smugglers and recovered a large quantity of narcotics from them. The police seized 4.08 kg of Ice drug (Methamphetamine) and 1.03 kg of Heroin from the accused.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that the arrested accused have been identified as Balwinder Singh alias Binder (resident of Daoke village), Navtej Singh (resident of Mahwa village), and Mahabir Singh (resident of Tarn Taran). Apart from the narcotics, the police also recovered drug money and vehicles from them.
Links with Pakistan: Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar informed that this gang was in contact with smugglers based in Pakistan. The investigation revealed that the accused used to communicate with foreign smugglers through the social media app WhatsApp. Pakistani smugglers used a drone to drop drug consignments into Indian territory, which the accused would then supply further.
During this operation, the police first apprehended Balwinder Singh, and following his interrogation, the other associates were arrested. The police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to nab other individuals linked to this network. This action is considered crucial in curbing cross border smuggling in the border region.
