ਸੋਨੂ ਸੂਦ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸੱਟੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਈਡੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਪੇਸ਼
ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਸੋਨੂ ਸੂਦ ਨੂੰ 1xਬੈੱਟ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸੱਟੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਐਪ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਨੀ ਲਾਂਡਰਿੰਗ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਈਡੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੀਐੱਮਐੱਲਏ ਤਹਿਤ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇਸੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੁਵਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੁਰੇਸ਼ ਰੈਣਾ, ਸ਼ਿਖਰ ਧਵਨ, ਰੌਬਿਨ ਉਥੱਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਮੀ ਚੱਕਰਬਰਤੀ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਈਡੀ ਨੇ ਐਪ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੋਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਸੋਨੂ ਸੂਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸੱਟੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਨੀ ਲਾਂਡਰਿੰਗ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਐਨਫੋਰਸਮੈਂਟ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟੋਰੇਟ (ਈਡੀ) ਨੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਅੱਜ 24 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੀਐੱਮਐੱਲਏ ਤਹਿਤ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਲਮਬੰਦ ਕੀਤੇ। ਸੋਨੂ ਸੂਦ (52) ਨੇ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 12 ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਈਡੀ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇਹ ਕੇਸ 1xਬੈੱਟ ਨਾਮਕ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸੱਟੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਐਪ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟੈਕਸ ਚੋਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਈਡੀ ਨੇ ਇਸੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਯੁਵਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਲ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰਾਂ ਸੁਰੇਸ਼ ਰੈਣਾ, ਸ਼ਿਖਰ ਧਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੌਬਿਨ ਉਥੱਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਮਿਮੀ ਚੱਕਰਬਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਗਾਲੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਅੰਕੁਸ਼ ਹਾਜ਼ਰਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਈਡੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਏਜੰਸੀ ਨੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਇੰਫਲੂਐਂਸਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਲਏ ਹਨ।
ਈਡੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 1xਬੈੱਟ ਐਪ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਲੇਨ-ਦੇਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੋਸ਼ਨਲ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਐਪ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਇਵੈਂਟਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੱਟੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 70 ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਧੋਖਾਧੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਟੈਕਸ ਚੋਰੀ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਜੂਨ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸੱਟੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੂਆ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਾਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ 1,524 ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਈਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ, ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਫਲੂਐਂਸਰ ਵੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੋਨੂ ਸੂਦ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਇਸ ਜਾਂਚ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਰਿਕਾਰਡਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a money laundering case linked to online betting. He appeared at the agency's office in Delhi today, September 24, 2025, where investigation officers recorded his statement under PMLA. Sonu Sood (52) arrived at the central Delhi office around noon and answered questions. This case is connected to the 1xBet online betting app, which is involved in illegal activities and tax evasion.
In recent days, ED has questioned several celebrities in the same case. Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh appeared before the agency yesterday and recorded his statement. Previously, former cricketers Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, and Robin Uthappa were also questioned. Similarly, actor Mimi Chakraborty and Bengali actor Ankush Hazra have cooperated with ED. As part of the probe, statements from some female social media influencers have also been recorded.
ED is investigating financial transactions and promotional activities linked to the 1xBet app. The app allows betting on thousands of sports events and is available in 70 languages, but it has defrauded crores of rupees and evaded taxes. The government has issued 1,524 orders from 2022 to June 2025 to block online betting and gambling platforms. ED believes more cricketers, actors, and influencers will be summoned soon. Investigation officers stated that Sonu Sood's appearance is part of the ongoing probe, and further action will depend on the statements and financial records.
