ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਕੇਸ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਕੇਸ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਐੱਨਆਈਏ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਗਡੰਡੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਸੂਲੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਵੀ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਕਸ ਬਕਾਇਆ ਲਈ ਓਟੀਐੱਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੂਟ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੇਸ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੇਸ ਵਿਜਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਨੇ ਜੂਨ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਐੱਨਆਈਏ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੰਥੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਜੱਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੀਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਜੱਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐੱਨਆਈਏ ਦੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਨਿਪਟਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਪੇਂਡੂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਪਗਡੰਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਸੂਲੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਵੀ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਬਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੈਸੇ ਵਸੂਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਅਨਿਆਂਤ ਕਬਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਨੇ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਓਟੀਐੱਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਟੈਕਸ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਛੂਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਸਕੀਮ 31 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਕਾਇਆ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਟੈਕਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਝ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
In a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state cabinet took several important decisions. One of them includes granting permission to proceed with the corruption case against former Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharmasot. This case was registered by the Vigilance Bureau in June 2022, and now the cabinet has recommended it to the Governor for further action.
The cabinet also decided to establish a special court in Mohali to expedite the disposal of NIA-related cases pending in various courts across Punjab. This court will be handled by the Additional Sessions Judge and Additional Sessions Judge, which will help in quickly resolving the ongoing NIA cases.
Additionally, approval has been given to the Rural Development Department to recover dues from encroachers on pathways and vacant lands. A committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner will determine the value of these lands and collect the payments accordingly. This step will aid in removing unauthorized encroachments.
The cabinet has also given the green signal to introduce the OTS scheme, providing major relief to traders who have not paid taxes under various rules. Under this scheme, full waivers on fines and interest will be offered to traders. The scheme will be effective until December 31, 2025, after which strict action will be taken against those who do not clear their pending payments. This will relieve traders from the burden of old tax dues and help boost business.
