ਸੇਬੀ ਨੇ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਗੌਤਮ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਡਨਬਰਗ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ
ਸੇਬੀ ਨੇ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਗੌਤਮ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਡਨਬਰਗ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਹੇਰਾਫੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਵਿਆਜ ਸਮੇਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਨਿਯਮਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਸੇਬੀ ਨੇ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਗੌਤਮ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹਿੰਡਨਬਰਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹਿੰਡਨਬਰਗ ਨੇ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ—ਐਡੀਕਾਰਪ ਐਂਟਰਪ੍ਰਾਈਜ਼ਿਜ਼, ਮਾਈਲਸਟੋਨ ਟ੍ਰੇਡਲਿੰਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਰੇਹਵਰ ਇਨਫਰਾਸਟ੍ਰਕਚਰ—ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਹੇਰਾਫੇਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਾਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸੇਬੀ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਹ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਸੌਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾ 2021 ਦੀ ਸੋਧ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਸੇਬੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਵਿਆਜ ਸਮੇਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪੈਸਾ ਹੜੱਪਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਕੋਈ ਧੋਖਾਧੜੀ ਜਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ।

The market regulator SEBI has cleared the Adani Group and its chairman Gautam Adani of allegations made by the US-based research firm Hindenburg. In January 2021, Hindenburg alleged that the Adani Group used three companies—Adicorp Enterprises, Milestone Tradelinks, and Rehvar Infrastructure—for fund manipulation. It was claimed that this helped Adani bypass related party transaction rules, potentially misleading investors.
In two separate orders, SEBI clarified that no violations were found. According to the rules at that time, these transactions did not fall under the category of related party transactions. This definition was only tightened after amendments in 2021. SEBI also noted that all loans were repaid with interest, and no funds were misappropriated. Therefore, no financial misconduct or fraudulent activities occurred.
As a result, SEBI has dismissed all proceedings against the Adani Group and Gautam Adani. This decision provides significant relief to the Adani Group, potentially strengthening its reputation and investor confidence.
