'ਬੈਂਡ ਵਜਾਉਣ' ਵਾਲੀ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਪਈ ਮਹਿੰਗੀ: SC ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਲਬ, ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਦੀ ਰੈਲੀ 'ਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਬਿਆਨ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕੌਮੀ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ (National SC Commission) ਨੇ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕਥਿਤ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਲਈ ਸੰਮਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਲਬ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਉਦੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰੈਲੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ 'ਬੈਂਡ ਵਜਾਉਣ' ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸ਼ਿਕੰਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਕੌਮੀ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਰੈਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਰੈਲੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਾਧਦਿਆਂ 'ਬੈਂਡ ਵਜਾਉਣ' ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ. (SC) ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੇਸ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦਾ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ-ਮਰੋੜ ਕੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਚਾਲ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਸੱਤਾਧਾਰੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੁੱਦੇ 'ਤੇ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਨਤਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਲਿਤ ਵੋਟ ਬੈਂਕ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਚਰਚਾ ਛਿੜ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੀ ਪੱਖ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa, has landed in legal trouble following a controversial remark made during a political rally in Dharamkot. The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has formally summoned the Congress leader, seeking an explanation for his alleged derogatory comments targeting a specific community.
The controversy stems from a speech where Bajwa used the phrase "playing the band" (Band Bajana) in a context that was perceived as an insult to the Scheduled Caste community. Taking suo motu cognizance or acting upon a formal complaint, the Commission has directed Bajwa to appear and present his side of the story.
