ਕੀਵ ’ਤੇ ਰੂਸੀ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ-ਡਰੋਨ ਹਮਲਾ: 13 ਮੌਤਾਂ, 132 ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ
ਰੂਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਵ ’ਤੇ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਅਤੇ ਡਰੋਨ ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 13 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ 132 ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਂ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਢਹਿ ਗਿਆ। ਬਚਾਅ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਮਲਬੇ ਹੇਠ ਦੱਬੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਜ਼ੇਲੈਂਸਕੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਰੂਸ ਨੇ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਕੀਵ ’ਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਰੋਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 6 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 13 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ 132 ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ। ਕੀਵ ਸਿਟੀ ਫੌਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਤੈਮੂਰ ਤਕਾਚੈਂਕੋ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਂ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਢਹਿ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਮਲਬੇ ਹੇਠ ਦੱਬੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਬਚਾਅ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਮਲਬੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵੋਲੋਦੀਮੀਰ ਜ਼ੇਲੈਂਸਕੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਰਪ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦਾ ਰੂਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਹੈ।” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਵ ਦੇ ਸੋਲੋਮਿੰਸਕਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਿਯਾਤੋਸ਼ਿਨਸਕਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ, ਜਿੱਥੇ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ, ਸਕੂਲ, ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਿੰਡਰਗਾਰਟਨ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਫੌਜ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਰੂਸ ਨੇ 309 ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਡਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਠ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 288 ਡਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਹਮਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ 5 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਬੱਚੀ ਸਮੇਤ 14 ਬੱਚੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ, ਜੋ ਰੂਸ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੰਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤਕਾਚੈਂਕੋ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ 27 ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਹੋਏ, ਜਦਕਿ 19 ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਡਰੋਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਲਬਾ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ। ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇਹੋਰ ਕਲੀਮੈਂਕੋ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਲਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਬਣਾਉਣੀ ਪਈ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਰੂਸ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਸਮੇਂ 32 ਯੂਕਰੇਨੀ ਡਰੋਨ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤੇ, ਜਦਕਿ ਰੂਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਂਜ਼ਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਨਅਤੀ ਸਥਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਡਰੋਨ ਹਮਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗੀ। ਰੂਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਡੋਨੇਤਸਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਸਿਵ ਯਾਰ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ’ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਰੂਸੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵਲਾਦੀਮੀਰ ਪੁਤਿਨ ਨੂੰ 8 ਅਗਸਤ ਤੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਲਗਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
Russia launched a major overnight attack on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, using missiles and drones, resulting in the deaths of at least 13 people, including a 6-year-old boy, and injuring 132 others. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that a large part of a nine-story residential building collapsed due to the attack, trapping several people under the rubble. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to save those trapped.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on social media, “This attack is Russia’s response to our desire for peace with America and Europe. It is pure terrorism.” He emphasized the need for strong support to achieve peace. The attack severely impacted Kyiv’s Solomianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts, damaging over 100 buildings, including homes, schools, hospitals, and kindergartens. Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia used 309 Shahed drones and eight missiles, of which 288 drones and three missiles were destroyed.
Among the injured were 14 children, including a 5-month-old girl, marking the highest number of child casualties in a single night in Kyiv since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Tkachenko noted that 27 locations in the city were directly hit, with debris from downed drones falling at 19 other sites. Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said rescue workers had to create a tunnel through the rubble to save one injured person.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed it destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones overnight, and a drone attack caused a fire at an industrial site in Russia’s Penza region. Russia also claimed to have captured the strategically important city of Chasiv Yar in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, a claim Ukraine denied. U.S. President Donald Trump warned Russian President Vladimir Putin to take steps toward peace by August 8, or face severe sanctions.
