ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਵਾਦਤ '500 ਕਰੋੜ' ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਖਿੱਚੋਤਾਣ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ 19 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਿਯੰਕਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੱਖ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਭੁਪੇਸ਼ ਬਘੇਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਖਿੱਚੋਤਾਣ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਿਯੰਕਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵਾਡਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਧੂ 19 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਿਯੰਕਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ। ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਹਿਮ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਵਾਦਤ ਬਿਆਨ ('500 ਕਰੋੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ') ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਇਸ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੱਖ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ 'ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਰੁਖ਼ ਅਖ਼ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਭੁਪੇਸ਼ ਬਘੇਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹੈ। ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ, ਤਾਂ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੱਕੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਿਵਾਦ 'ਤੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੁੱਪ ਹਨ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
Amidst the ongoing internal strife and infighting in the Punjab Congress, former state President Navjot Singh Sidhuhas secured a meeting with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Sidhu will meet Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi on December 19. This meeting is considered highly significant, as his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, was placed under suspension following her controversial 500 crore remark (referring to the 'Chief Minister's seat for ₹500 crore').
According to sources, Navjot Singh Sidhu wishes to present his side to the Congress High Command through this meeting. He wants his views to be heard before the High Command takes any major action. Meanwhile, the Congress High Command has adopted a strict stance on the entire matter. The High Command has formed a high-level committee, led by the party's Punjab affairs in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, to investigate the controversial statement made by Navjot Kaur Sidhu.
The Congress High Command is reportedly upset over this kind of factionalism (kalesh) within the party ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections in Punjab. Political analysts believe that if the Congress High Command shows stringency, Navjot Kaur Sidhu could be permanently dismissed from the Congress. Interestingly, throughout this entire controversy, Navjot Singh Sidhu has not yet given any reaction to the media and remains completely silent, although he was present in Delhi on Wednesday.
