ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ: 'ਅਸੀਂ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ
ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ "ਚੋਰਾਂ" ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹਾਈਕਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਰੁਕਣ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ (Suspended) ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਤੇਵਰ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਮਤ 'ਤੇ "ਚੋਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ" ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
ਬੀਬੀ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਈਕਮਾਨ (High Command) ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ 4-5 ਅਜਿਹੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ (Corruption) ਮਚਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਲਤ ਸੌਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਆਪਣੇ 'ਤੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ-ਮਰੋੜ ਕੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ 70 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਵਰਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਗੂ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਫੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜਨਗੇ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਵਾਦਤ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
The turmoil within the Punjab Congress shows no signs of stopping. After being suspended by the Congress party, former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu has displayed a defiant stance. She has clearly announced that she and her husband, Navjot Singh Sidhu, will not support "thieves" at any cost.
Mrs. Sidhu stated that she is in talks with the party High Command, but she has only one main condition. According to her, there are 4-5 leaders within the party who are ruining the Punjab Congress. She asserted that she will not compromise until these individuals are sidelined. She alleged that certain leaders are indulging in corruption and are involved in illegal land deals.
Speaking on the allegations against her, Navjot Kaur said that her statements were twisted and misrepresented. She claimed that 70 percent of the party workers and leaders still stand with the Sidhu family. She also stated that she does not accept certain decisions of the current state leadership and will only fight for the truth. It is noteworthy that Navjot Kaur Sidhu was recently suspended by the party following a controversial statement.
