ਇੰਡੋਨੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਜਕਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਤ-ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਦਫ਼ਤਰੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 22 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਡਰੋਨ ਬੈਟਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਧਮਾਕਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੁਸ਼ੱਕਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੱਗ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ।

ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਇਹ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਇੱਕ ਡਰੋਨ ਕੰਪਨੀ (Terra Drone Indonesia) ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਰਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ 'ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਇੱਕ ਡਰੋਨ ਬੈਟਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਧਮਾਕਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੱਗ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਪਰਲੀਆਂ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਫੈਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਾ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਭਜਦੌੜ ਮੱਚ ਗਈ।
ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮਿਲਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ (Firefighters) ਦੀਆਂ 29 ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਏ। ਲਗਭਗ ਤਿੰਨ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜੱਦੋ-ਜਹਿਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੱਗ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ, ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਧੂੰਏਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਮ ਘੁੱਟਣ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਜਕਾਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੁਸਾਤਿਓ ਪੁਰਨੋਮੋ ਨੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 22 ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲਾਪਰਵਾਹੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
A heart-wrenching incident occurred on Tuesday in the Kemayoran area of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. A massive fire broke out in a seven-story office building here, resulting in the tragic death of at least 22 people. The victims include 15 women, one of whom was pregnant.
According to reports, this building was being used as the office of a drone company (Terra Drone Indonesia). Police officials stated that the primary cause of the fire was an explosion in a drone battery located on the first floor. Following the explosion, the fire rapidly spread to the upper floors, and the building was filled with thick black smoke, causing breathing difficulties and panic among the employees working there.
Upon receiving information about the incident, 29 firefighters' trucks and hundreds of personnel rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control after a struggle of approximately three hours. Rescue workers safely evacuated several trapped people using ladders, but many fell victim to suffocation due to the dense smoke. Central Jakarta Police Chief Susatyo Purnomo confirmed that 22 bodies have been recovered so far, and the search operation in the building is still ongoing. The police are conducting a serious investigation into the matter so that action can be taken against those found negligent.
