ਸਾਂਝੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੈੜ ਨੱਪਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਖੇਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਗੁਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਭੱਜ ਸਕਣ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਝੜਪ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਰੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰੋਹਿਨੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਬੇਡਕਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਰੰਜਨ ਪਾਠਕ (25), ਵਿਮਲੇਸ਼ ਮਾਹਤੋ (25), ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਪਾਠਕ (33) ਅਤੇ ਅਮਨ ਠਾਕੁਰ (21) ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਰੰਜਨ ਪਾਠਕ ਇਸ ਗਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਸਰਗਨਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ 'ਸਿਗਮਾ ਗੈਂਗ' ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਗਰੋਹ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਥਿਤ ਕਤਲ, ਫਿਰੌਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਰੰਜਨ ਪਾਠਕ ਤੇ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਪਾਠਕ ਸੀਤਾਮਰ੍ਹੀ, ਬਿਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਸਨ, ਜਦਕਿ ਵਿਮਲੇਸ਼ ਮਾਹਤੋ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਨ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਰਾਵਲ ਨਗਰ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਸੀ ਸੀ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਰੰਜਨ ਪਾਠਕ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਤੇ ਆਡੀਓ ਮੈਸੇਜ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਗਰੋਹ ਨੇ ਲਗਭਗ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਨੇਪਾਲ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਲੁਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਝੜਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫੋਰੈਂਸਿਕ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਬੂਤ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਕ੍ਰਾਈਮ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਚ ਦੇ ਡੀਸੀਪੀ ਸੰਨੀਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਵਾਰਦਾਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਰੋਕ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
In Delhi's Rohini area, four wanted gangsters from Bihar were killed in a clash with police. The incident occurred around 2:20 AM on Wednesday night at Bahadur Shah Marg, from Dr. Ambedkar Chowk to Pansali Chowk. A joint team of Delhi Police Crime Branch and Bihar Police carried out this operation. According to police officials, these gangsters had been hiding in Delhi for several days and were involved in multiple alleged murder incidents in Bihar.
The joint police team had launched an operation to track the gangsters. Based on secret information, the team tried to stop them, but the accused started firing at the police to escape. The police retaliated, and in this clash, all four gangsters were injured. They were immediately taken to Baba Sahib Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
The deceased gangsters have been identified as Ranjan Pathak (25), Vimlesh Mahto (25), Manish Pathak (33), and Aman Thakur (21). Ranjan Pathak was the leader of this group and was running the 'Sigma Gang' in Bihar. This group was operating a criminal network in Bihar and neighboring states, involved in alleged murders, extortion, and criminal conspiracies. Ranjan Pathak and Manish Pathak were residents of Sitamarhi, Bihar, while Vimlesh Mahto was also from there, and Aman Thakur was from Karawal Nagar, Delhi. According to police, these individuals were wanted for several heinous crimes in Bihar and were planning a major criminal activity ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. Ranjan Pathak had openly challenged the police through social media and audio messages. This gang had spread across Bihar over nearly seven years and was hiding by moving between Delhi and Nepal.
After the clash, the police cordoned off the area and called in forensic teams to collect evidence. This operation was led by DCP Sunny Yadav of Delhi Police Crime Branch and Bihar Police. This has put a major halt to crime-related incidents in Bihar.
