ਪਾਕਿ ਹਵਾਈ ਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ: ‘ਰਫਾਲ’ ਤੇ S-400 ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪਰ ਸਬੂਤ ਕਿੱਥੇ?
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ, ਏਅਰ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਜ਼ਹੀਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਬਾਬਰ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਈ 2025 ਦੇ ਟਕਰਾਅ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ 'ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ' ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ, ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ (IAF) ਦੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਲੜਾਕੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ Rafale ਅਤੇ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਸਿਸਟਮ S-400 ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਏਅਰ ਚੀਫ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਪੱਕਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਿਆਨਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਹੱਦ 'ਤੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਮਈ 2025 ਦੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੀ ਤਲਖੀ ਮੁੜ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਖ਼ਬਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ (PAF) ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ, ਏਅਰ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ Zaheer Babar Sidhu ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਣਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਖੈਬਰ ਪਖਤੂਨਖਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਐੱਫ. ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪਰੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸਿੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਜੋਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਮਈ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਏ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹਵਾਈ ਟਕਰਾਅ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਨੇ 'Operation Sindoor' ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਢੇਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਹ ਬਿਆਨ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 'Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos' ਨਾਮ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਵਾਬੀ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਤਰਫ਼ੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਏਅਰ ਚੀਫ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਏ.ਪੀ. ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ F-16 ਅਤੇ ਚੀਨੀ JF-17 ਸਮੇਤ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਇੱਕ ਦਰਜਨ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਫੌਜੀ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤਬਾਹ ਜਾਂ ਨੁਕਸਾਨੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

In a recent and highly impassioned statement from Islamabad, Air Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu, the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), has once again heightened tensions in India-Pakistan relations. Speaking at a passing out parade at the PAF Academy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sidhu emphatically claimed that during the fierce aerial clash in May 2025—which India officially referred to as 'Operation Sindoor'—Pakistani forces overwhelmed the enemy.
The Pakistani Air Chief specifically asserted that they had destroyed the Indian Air Force (IAF)'s most modern and capable assets, including French-made Rafale fighter jets, SU-30MKI, Mirage 2000, MiG-29, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAVs). Furthermore, he made a staggering claim that Pakistani defense systems had 'neutralized' India's highly advanced S-400 air defense system and Command-and-Control centers, targeting Indian assets from north to south.
This statement comes as a direct counter-claim following India's own assertions of victory during the "Operation Sindoor" and Pakistan's retaliatory "Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos." Previously, in October, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh had claimed that India's strikes resulted in the destruction or damage of at least a dozen Pakistani military aircraft, including US-origin F-16s and Chinese JF-17s.
However, the most significant aspect of this highly disputed episode is that these bold and serious claims by Air Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu—particularly regarding the targeting of Indian Rafale jets and the S-400 system—are being made without providing any verifiable or publicly available evidence. Due to this lack of proof, the issue remains largely a battle of geopolitical propaganda between the two nuclear-armed rivals, underscoring the lingering hostility from the intense India Pakistan Conflict of May 2025.
