ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਨਜਾਇਜ਼ ਮਾਈਨਿੰਗ 'ਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ: 15 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ, ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਤ
ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਨਜਾਇਜ਼ ਮਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ 15 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇ.ਸੀ.ਬੀ. ਅਤੇ ਰੇਤ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਦੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਹਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨਜਾਇਜ਼ ਮਾਈਨਿੰਗ (Illegal Mining) ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ 15 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੂਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੇਤ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਜਾਇਜ਼ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇ.ਸੀ.ਬੀ. ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ, ਟਿਪਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੇਤ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਦੀਆਂ ਟਰਾਲੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਐਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਮਾਫੀਆ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ। ਧਰਤੀ ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ।
The Mohali District Police has achieved significant success against the illegal extraction of natural resources. During strict cordons and raids conducted by police teams in various areas, 15 individuals involved in illegal mining were caught red-handed and arrested. The police had been receiving intelligence for some time that certain individuals were violating administrative rules to conduct illegal extraction of sand and stones under the cover of darkness.
During this operation, the police also seized a large quantity of machinery and vehicles. The seized assets include JCB machines, tippers, and tractor-trolleys loaded with sand. Police officials stated that these individuals were causing damage to rivers and government lands. A case has been registered against the arrested persons under the Mining Act and other relevant legal sections.
The police administration has appealed to the local residents to share information regarding such illegal activities. Authorities have emphasized that the campaign against the mining mafia will be intensified in the coming days to dismantle their network. This action will not only protect the environment but also prevent loss to the state exchequer. This step taken by the administration is commendable as it aims to protect our bond with Mother Earth and nature.
