ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਤੇ 175 ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ
ਟਰੰਪ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਤੇ 175 ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਬਿਠਾਉਣ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਖਾਮੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਤਹਿਤ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੈ।
ਟਰੰਪ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੇ 175 ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਦੇਣ, ਕੰਮ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਬਿਠਾਉਣ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਖਾਮੀਆਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਐਕਸ ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਤਹਿਤ ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ 175 ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਲੋਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਵੇਜ਼-ਡੀਰੇਮਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਵੇਜ਼-ਡੀਰੇਮਰ ਨੇ ਐਕਸ ਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਰਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੋਤ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਟਰੰਪ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਰਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਨੱਥ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਫਰਮਾਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਐੱਚ-1ਬੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਧਾਰਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਜਾਂਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

Chavez-DeRemer posted on X that the Labor Department is using every resource to stop H-1B visa abuse and protect American jobs. The Trump administration has initiated large-scale measures to curb misuse of the H-1B visa program used by companies. These companies, especially technology firms, recruit large numbers of H-1B visa holders, including Indian professionals. The investigations are ongoing with the goal of giving priority to American citizens in employment.
