ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਨ 10 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ: ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਸਨਅਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ 1 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ 10 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰੇ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਵ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਸਨਅਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਮਾਰਚ 2026 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰੈਸਿਵ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਇਨਵੈਸਟਰਜ਼ ਸਮਿਟ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ 1 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ 10 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਦੌਰੇ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਏਜੰਡਾ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਸਨਅਤਕਾਰਾਂ (Japanese Industrialists) ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇਸ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਇਹ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਦੌਰਾ ਦਰਅਸਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਊਟਰੀਚ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ 13 ਤੋਂ 15 ਮਾਰਚ, 2026 ਨੂੰ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰੈਸਿਵ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਇਨਵੈਸਟਰਜ਼ ਸਮਿਟ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ-ਜਾਪਾਨ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਦੂਤਾਵਾਸ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਪਾਨੀ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪੈਨਾਸੋਨਿਕ (Panasonic), ਸੁਮਿਤੋਮੋ (Sumitomo), ਨਿਪੋਨ (Nippon), ਐਨ.ਈ.ਸੀ. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to depart for a 10-day official Japan visit starting December 1. The main agenda of this international visit is to meet with Japanese Industrialists to encourage them to make investment in Punjab. According to government sources, the Chief Minister will also discuss opportunities to increase their investmentwithin the state during this trip.
This Japan visit is essentially part of the larger outreach efforts by the Punjab Government, which are being conducted in preparation for the sixth Progressive Punjab Investors Summit, scheduled to be held in Mohali from March 13 to 15, 2026. A few days prior to this tour, Chief Minister Mann held a virtual meeting with a high-level Japanese delegation. This delegation included representatives from the Japanese Embassy, reinforcing India Japan relations, and key Japanese companies operating in India, such as Panasonic, Sumitomo, Nippon, NEC, and Toyota.
In these discussions, Chief Minister Mann sought to establish a strategic partnership with Japan in key areas including advanced manufacturing, mobility, electronics, food processing, renewable energy, and global services. He highlighted Punjab’s strong and growing ties with the Japanese industry and extended an invitation to the Japanese companies to participate in the next phase of the state's industrial transformation. Furthermore, he offered a 'Red Carpet Welcome' to Japanese companies interested in exploring the emerging new possibilities within the state.
