ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਮਿੱਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤਣਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਰੁਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ
ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਥਾਈ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਅਗਲੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਕਈ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਰਹੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਲੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ 'ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਸਾਂਝ' ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਣਾਅ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
