ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਾਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਲੋੜ ਪਈ ਤਾਂ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਫੌਜ ਹਾਰਮੁਜ਼ ਜਲਡਮਰੂ (Strait of Hormuz) ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ ਟੈਂਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏਗੀ। ਇਰਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਧਦੇ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ, ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਤੇਲ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਘਨ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਪੱਛਮੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਤਣਾਅ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਾਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਅਰਥਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਊਰਜਾ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਬਿਆਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਹਾਰਮੁਜ਼ ਜਲਡਮਰੂ (Strait of Hormuz) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਤੇਲ ਟੈਂਕਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਰਾਨ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਤਾਂ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਾਰਮੁਜ਼ ਜਲਡਮਰੂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ ਤੇਲ ਵਪਾਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਰਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਇਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਂ ਵਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ-ਤੋੜ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਐਲਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖਾੜੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਫੌਜੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਧਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਲ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਆ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਰਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਜੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
Amidst the ongoing severe tensions in West Asia, US President Donald Trump has issued a crucial statement regarding the global economy and energy security. President Trump stated that the United States is fully prepared to ensure the security of commercial oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He clarified that if Iran or any other power attempts to obstruct the passage of these vessels, the US Navy will intervene immediately.
Notably, the Strait of Hormuz is the world's most important maritime chokepoint, through which a significant portion of the total global oil trade passes. Iran has previously threatened to close this route multiple times. Issuing a warning, Trump said that any action to seize maritime routes or block trade would be met with a decisive response. According to him, the US remains committed to protecting the interests of its allies.
Following this announcement, an increase in US military activity in the Gulf region is anticipated. Experts believe that while this move could bring stability to the oil market, it also heightens the risk of a direct confrontation with Iran. The President reiterated that while the US does not seek war, it will not compromise on its own or the world's economic security.
