ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਦੀ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਫੋਰਟਿਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਦੀ ਮੋਢੇ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਜੋ 47 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸਟਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੈਗਨ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 'ਕਬੱਡੀ ਵਨਸ ਅਗੇਨ' ਤੇ 'ਟਾਈਗਰ 3' ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਧਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੰਧਾਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦਕਿ ਉਹ 2027 ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਜ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਦੀ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਪੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਫੋਰਟਿਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਜਾਂ ਬਾਈਸੈਪ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਕਾਰਡੀਐਕ ਅਰੈਸਟ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਮ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਾਕਯਾ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਲਗਭਗ ਪੰਜ ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਧੇ ਘੰਟੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ। ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਜਾਂ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 47 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸਟਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦਾ ਟਾਈਟਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਟਰ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪ-ਜੇਤੂ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵੈਗਨ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਫਿਟਨੈੱਸ (ਆਈ ਐੱਫ ਬੀ ਬੀ) ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਕਾਰਡ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਨਲਡ ਕਲਾਸਿਕ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਕਾਹਾਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਰੀਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਰਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ।
ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 2012 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਫਿਲਮ 'ਕਬੱਡੀ ਵਨਸ ਅਗੇਨ' ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ 2014 ਵਿੱਚ 'ਰੋਰ: ਟਾਈਗਰ ਆਫ ਦਾ ਸੁੰਦਰਵਨ' ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ 'ਮਰਜਾਵਾਂ' ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਖੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਫਿਲਮ 'ਟਾਈਗਰ 3' ਵਿੱਚ ਸਲਮਾਨ ਖਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਉਪਲਬਧੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਦੀ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਲਮ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪਾਰਲੀਮੈਂਟ ਸੁਖਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੰਧਾਵਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਧਨ ਤੇ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ। ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਮਿਨਿਸਟਰ ਆਫ ਸਟੇਟ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਹੀ-ਮੈਨ' ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਕਾਹਾਰੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਫਿਟਨੈੱਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਬਣਾਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਹਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਦੁੱਲੋਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੇਕਸ਼ਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਮਿਲੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਨਾਲ ਅਧੂਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਪੋਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਅੱਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
In Amritsar today, bodybuilder and Punjabi actor Varinder Singh Ghuman died of a heart attack. He had come to Fortis Hospital here for a minor surgery on his shoulder or bicep, where he suddenly suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away. A senior doctor at the hospital confirmed this death and stated that the incident occurred around half an hour after 5 PM. Varinder Ghuman was associated with Gurdaspur or Jalandhar and was 47 years old.
Varinder Ghuman was an Indian professional bodybuilder who won the Mr. India title in 2009 and was the runner-up in the Mr. Asia Championship. He was known as India's first vegan professional bodybuilder and obtained a pro card from the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB). He represented India several times at the international level and participated in world-class competitions like the Arnold Classic. Even while following a vegetarian diet, he built an impressive physique, which kept him in the spotlight in the bodybuilding world.
In addition to bodybuilding, Varinder Ghuman was an actor in Punjabi films and played the lead role in his first Punjabi film 'Kabaddi Once Again' in 2012. He also started working in Hindi films, beginning with 'Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans' in 2014, and later appeared in films like 'Marjaavaan'. He worked with Salman Khan in the Bollywood film 'Tiger 3', where he played the role of a Pakistani prison guard. These achievements gave him a distinct identity as a bodybuilder and actor.
The sudden death of Varinder Ghuman has left the Punjab bodybuilding and film world in shock. Senior Congress leader and Gurdaspur Member of Parliament Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa expressed deep grief over his demise and said that he was a pride of Punjab. Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu also remembered him as 'India's He-Man' and stated that his vegetarian lifestyle set new standards in the fitness world. In addition, bodybuilder Harminder Dullowal also described his demise as unexpected. According to information, Varinder Ghuman was preparing to contest the 2027 assembly elections, which remains unfulfilled due to his death. In his last social media post, he had expressed his emotions while remembering someone else, which now applies to him. With the death of Varinder Ghuman, Punjab has lost one of its greatest bodybuilders and actors.
