ਟਰੰਪ-ਮੋਦੀ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ: ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ
ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਟਰੰਪ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਐੱਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਲਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਅਗਲੇ ਕੁਆਡ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੰਦੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਅੰਤ ਜਾਂ 2026 ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ। ਅਮਰੀਕਾ-ਭਾਰਤ ਸੰਪਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੀਆ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਸਬੰਧ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇ ਕੁਆਡ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਲਈ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੰਦੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ 2026 ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ, ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ। 2024 ਦਾ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਲਮਿੰਗਟਨ, ਡੇਲਾਵੇਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਪੀਟੀਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ''ਜਲਦੀ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮੈਂ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ (ਪੀ.ਐਮ. ਮੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਟਰੰਪ) ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਦੇਖੋਗੇ।''
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ''ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਆਡ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਰੀਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।''
ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ-ਭਾਰਤ ਸੰਪਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ''ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ'' ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ''ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ'' ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਟਰੰਪ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ 75ਵੇਂ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਫੋਨ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ''ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ'' ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਨਵਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਆਡ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਸੈਕਰੇਟਰੀ ਰੂਬੀਓ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜੈਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਲੈਟਰਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਫਰਵਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਐੱਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਵ੍ਹਾਈਟ ਹਾਊਸ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਵਧੀਆ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਹੋਰ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
A senior official from the US State Department stated that US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi share a very, very positive relationship and they will meet soon. Along with this, emphasis was placed on the fact that planning is underway for the next Quad Summit, expected either at the end of this year or in early 2026. India will host the leaders from the US, Australia, and Japan. The 2024 summit was held in Wilmington, Delaware, in the US.
The State Department official told PTI, "In terms of meetings coming soon, I certainly don't want to get ahead of announcing anything for the President, but I'm sure you'll see the two (PM Modi and President Trump) meet."
The official said, "They have a very, very positive relationship. We have a Quad Summit, and we are working on its planning, so it will happen at some point—if not this year, then early next year. We are working on its dates."
Describing the ongoing US-India engagements as "very beneficial," the official said that "continuous positive developments" are expected in the coming months. Along with this, they described Trump's phone call to Modi on his 75th birthday as "very good." The official also mentioned that the January Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting was Secretary Rubio's first major engagement, followed by bilateral talks with Jaishankar and PM Modi's visit to the White House in February. They stated that the relationship is on a good path and is expanding further.
