"ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਤਮੀਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ": ਰਵਨੀਤ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ 'ਗੱਦਾਰ' ਟਿੱਪਣੀ 'ਤੇ ਜਵਾਬੀ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ
ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਗੱਦਾਰ' ਕਹਿਣ 'ਤੇ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਸਲੂਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਣਾ-ਧਮਕਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ
ਸੰਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਰਤੀ ਗਈ 'ਗੱਦਾਰ' (Traitor) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਰਾਜ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਮਕਸਦ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਤਮੀਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।"
ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੰਡਤਾ ਲਈ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਦਾ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਵਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਗੱਦਾਰ' ਕਹਿਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਾਦਰ ਹੈ। ਬਿੱਟੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਭੁੱਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ 'ਬੁਲੀ' (Bully) ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਉਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਲਈ 'ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤ' ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦਾ ਪੱਲਾ ਫੜਿਆ, ਉਹ 'ਗੱਦਾਰ' ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਗੱਦਾਰੀ ਹੈ? ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਡਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਚਰਚਾ ਛੇੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਆਗੂ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi following the latter's "traitor" (Gaddar) remark in the Lok Sabha. In a strongly worded statement, Bittu alleged that Gandhi’s primary objective was to misbehave with him and act as a bully in the temple of democracy. "Rahul Gandhi’s intention was not just political critique; he wanted to intimidate me and insult my dignity," Bittu asserted.
Reflecting on his lineage, Bittu stated that his family has a history of making supreme sacrifices for India's integrity. He mentioned that calling a descendant of late CM Beant Singh—who laid down his life for peace in Punjab—a 'traitor' is an insult to all martyrs. Bittu claimed that Gandhi, as the Leader of the Opposition, has forgotten parliamentary decorum and thinks he can "bully" anyone who disagrees with his ideology.
He further questioned the Congress's dual standards, noting that he was a "patriot" while in their party but labeled a "traitor" the moment he joined the BJP to serve the people. "Is it treachery for a Sikh leader to make an independent political choice?" he asked. Bittu maintained that such rhetoric would not deter him from his path and he would continue to champion the cause of Punjab.
