ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ 'ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਕੰਡਿਆਲੀ ਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਲਾਈਨ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੇੜੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਉਮੀਦ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਕਿਰਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿ ਸਰਹੱਦ 'ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਕੰਡਿਆਲੀ ਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੇੜੇ (ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਲਾਈਨ ਵੱਲ) ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਕੰਡਿਆਲੀ ਤਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ 'ਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਕੰਡਿਆਲੀ ਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੂਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਏਕੜ ਉਪਜਾਊ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਬਲ ਡਿੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਇਸ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਠਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੀ ਇਸ ਦੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਕੰਡਿਆਲੀ ਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਵੱਲ ਖਿਸਕਣ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਖਾਲੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਲਾਰਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਟਿਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
