ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਤੇ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ’ਚ ਮਚਾਈ ਤਬਾਹੀ: 15 ਮੌਤਾਂ, ਕਈ ਲਾਪਤਾ
ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਦਲ ਫਟਣ, ਢਿੱਗਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 15 ਮੌਤਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 5 ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਅਤੇ 6 ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ 3 ਜੀਅ ਮਰੇ, ਜਦਕਿ ਦੇਹਰਾਦੂਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਪਕੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਿਆ। 900 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕ ਫਸੇ, ਕਈ ਲਾਪਤਾ। ਬਚਾਅ ਕਾਰਜ ਜਾਰੀ ਹਨ।
ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਦਲ ਫਟਣ, ਢਿੱਗਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਆਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਮਚਾਈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ 15 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹਨ। ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ 5 ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ 6 ਮੌਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਦੱਸੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਨੇ ਘਰਾਂ, ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ, ਸੜਕਾਂ, ਪੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਇਦਾਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ।
ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮੰਡੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਢਿੱਗਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ। ਸੁੰਦਰਨਗਰ ਸਬ-ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਨਿਹਰੀ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਗਟਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਮਲਬੇ ਹੇਠ ਦੱਬ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਜੀਅ ਫਸ ਗਏ। ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਤੰਗੂ ਦੇਵੀ (64), ਕਮਲਾ ਦੇਵੀ (33) ਅਤੇ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਸਿੰਘ (8 ਮਹੀਨੇ) ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਸੁੰਦਰਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਾਕੇਸ਼ ਜਮਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਮੰਡੀ ਦੀ ਸਦਰ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਮਾ ਖੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਵਹਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਏ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਰਜ਼ੀ ਪੁਲ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰ ਲਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਧਰਮਪੁਰ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਬੱਸ ਅੱਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੁਬੋ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 20 ਐੱਚਆਰਟੀਸੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ 25 ਨਿੱਜੀ ਵਾਹਨ ਨੁਕਸਾਨੇ ਗਏ, ਜਦਕਿ 70 ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਘਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਏ। ਧਰਮਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ 150 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਸਟਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਨ। ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਅਗਨੀਹੋਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਧਰਮਪੁਰ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਦੇਹਰਾਦੂਨ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਤ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਫਟਣ ਨੇ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਮਚਾਇਆ। ਨਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਵਧਣ ਨਾਲ ਸੜਕਾਂ, ਪੁਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਰਾਜ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, 15 ਮੌਤਾਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 13 ਦੇਹਰਾਦੂਨ, 2 ਨੈਨੀਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ 1 ਪਿਥੌਰਾਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। 16 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ 900 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਐਨਡੀਆਰਐਫ, ਐਸਡੀਆਰਐਫ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਫਸੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੇਹਰਾਦੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੌਂਡਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ 400-500 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਟਪਕੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਤਮਸਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਧੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਿਆ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਕਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹਤ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਦੀ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਨਸੂਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Natural disasters, including cloudbursts, landslides, and floods, have caused widespread devastation in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, resulting in 15 deaths—5 in Himachal Pradesh and 6 in Uttarakhand. Rescue teams have evacuated hundreds to safety, but many remain missing. The disasters have damaged homes, shops, roads, bridges, and other properties.
In Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district, heavy rainfall triggered landslides and flash floods, causing significant destruction. In Baragta village under Nihri tehsil of Sundernagar sub-division, a house was buried under debris, trapping five family members. Villagers and rescue teams saved two individuals, but Tangoo Devi (64), Kamla Devi (33), and Bhisham Singh (8 months) lost their lives. Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal visited the affected family. In another incident in Mandi’s Sadar tehsil, two individuals drowned in Suma Khad while crossing a temporary bridge to visit a temple. Their bodies have been recovered.
In Mandi’s Dharmpur area, a sudden flash flood inundated the main bus stand and nearby commercial establishments. Twenty HRTC buses and 25 private vehicles were damaged, and around 70 shops and several homes were flooded. A hostel with 150 students was also affected, but all students are safe. Two individuals are reported missing in Dharmpur. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri visited the area to assess the damage.
In Uttarakhand, heavy rainfall and cloudbursts caused havoc in Dehradun and other regions. Rising water levels in rivers and streams damaged buildings, roads, and bridges. According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, 15 deaths were reported—13 in Dehradun, 2 in Nainital, and 1 in Pithoragarh. Sixteen people are missing, and over 900 remain stranded. NDRF, SDRF, and fire brigade teams have rescued most of the stranded individuals. In Dehradun’s Paunda area, 400-500 students were safely evacuated from an educational institution. The famous Tapkeshwar temple was submerged by the rising Tamsa River.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the affected areas in Dehradun and directed officials to expedite relief and rescue operations. He informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah about the situation. The weather department has forecasted light to moderate rain in the coming days, while the southwest monsoon has begun retreating from Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
