ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਮੋਰਚਾ: ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪੀੜਤ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ 20 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਕਾਫੀ
ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ 20 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਕਾਰਦਿਆਂ ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਫਸਲ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਲਈ 70 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਗੰਨਾ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਕਾਏ, ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ, ਖਾਦ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ, ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ-2025 ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ 27 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਿਆ।
ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਮੋਰਚਾ (ਕੇਐੱਮਐੱਮ) ਨੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪੀੜਤ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ। ਮੋਰਚੇ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਸਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ 20 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਫਸਲ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਲਈ 70 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪੰਧੇਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਹਿ ਗਈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਲਈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਪੰਧੇਰ ਨੇ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਗੰਨਾ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਕਾਏ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕਰੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਅੜਚਣਾਂ, ਖਾਦ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਠੋਸ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂ ਗੁਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੜੂਨੀ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਖਤ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜੀਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ-2025 ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਬਿੱਲ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਢਣਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਰਗਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਸਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੁੱਦੇ ’ਤੇ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੇ ਪਾਵਰਕੌਮ, ਟਰਾਂਸਕੌਮ, ਕਿਸਾਨ, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਟਰੇਡ ਯੂਨੀਅਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ 27 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 11 ਵਜੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਵਨ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਡਰਾਫਟ ’ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) held a meeting at Kisan Bhawan in Chandigarh to discuss issues concerning farmers and laborers. The Morcha criticized the Punjab and Central governments’ policies as anti-farmer and anti-laborer, stating that both governments have ignored the genuine demands of farmers and laborers, leading to inadequate compensation for flood-affected farmers in Punjab. Morcha leader Sarwan Singh Pandher rejected the Punjab government’s announcement of Rs 20,000 per acre compensation for flood-affected farmers and demanded Rs 70,000 per acre for paddy crop losses. He also urged immediate full compensation and rehabilitation support for farmers whose land was washed away by rivers.
Additionally, Pandher demanded that the Punjab government promptly clear the dues of sugarcane farmers. He called for concrete steps to address issues like delays in paddy lifting in mandis, fertilizer shortages, and stubble burning problems. The Morcha strongly condemned the arrest of farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni by Haryana Police, terming it an anti-farmer action.
The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha opposed the Central government’s move to privatize power institutions and announced a struggle against the Electricity Amendment Bill-2025, stating that it will impact all sections of society. Sarwan Singh Pandher called for all organizations to unite on this issue. The Morcha invited Powercom, Transcom, farmer, laborer, student, and trade unions to a joint meeting on October 27 at 11 AM at Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh, to discuss the draft of the Electricity Amendment Bill.
