ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਮਾਣਹਾਨੀ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ
ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਹਾਨੀ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੀਮ ਰੀਟਵੀਟ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਗਲਤਫਹਿਮੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗ ਲਈ। ਕੇਸ ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ 24 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਹਾਨੀ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਹ ਮਾਣਹਾਨੀ ਕੇਸ 2020-21 ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੇ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਮੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਰੀਟਵੀਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਲਾਭ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਵਕੀਲ ਰਘਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਿਨੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੇ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੀਟਵੀਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਲਾਭ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਮੰਗਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ। ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਹੋਇਆ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਕੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਡੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਮੈਜਿਸਟਰੇਟ ਫਸਟ ਕਲਾਸ (ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਕੋਰਟ) ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ 24 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖੀ।
ਇਹ ਮਾਣਹਾਨੀ ਕੇਸ ਬਹਾਦਰਗੜ੍ਹ ਜੰਡੀਆਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਔਰਤ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੈ। ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੀਨ ਬਾਗ ਦੀ ਬਿਲਕਿਸ ਬਾਨੋ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਣਹਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ।
ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਲਗਾਈਆਂ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਕੰਗਨਾ ਰਣੌਤ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ 12 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਿਆ।
The Bathinda court has granted bail to Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in a defamation case. This defamation case is related to a comment made during the 2020-21 farmers protest. Kangana Ranaut appeared in court and said she only retweeted a meme and had no intention of hurting anyone. She has spoken to Mahinder Kaur's husband Labh Singh and apologized.
Mahinder Kaur's lawyer Raghubir Singh Bahniwal said Kangana Ranaut claimed it was a mistake but Labh Singh denied any apology. Kangana Ranaut sought permanent exemption from personal appearance due to security reasons which was opposed. The court transferred the case to Judicial Magistrate First Class (Special Court) and fixed the next hearing on November 24.
This defamation case concerns elderly farmer woman Mahinder Kaur from Bahadurgarh Jandian village. Kangana Ranaut shared her photo comparing her to Shaheen Bagh's Bilkis Bano and stated such women are available for 100 rupees. Following the comment, Mahinder Kaur filed a defamation complaint in January 2021.
Tight security was in place at the court complex for Kangana Ranaut's appearance. Police officers monitored and restrictions were imposed to prevent crowds. The court had ordered personal appearance as Kangana Ranaut did not appear last time. After the Supreme Court refused the petition on September 12, the case proceeded in Bathinda court.
