ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਲਈ ਡਾਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ 15 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ
ਡਾਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਗਸਤ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੋਕੀ ਗਈਆਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਡਾਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ 15 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਡੀਡੀਪੀ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨਾਲ ਕਸਟਮ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਭਰੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਡਿਲਿਵਰੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਡਾਕ ਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਹਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਧੂ ਖਰਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਐਮਐੱਸਐੱਮਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਹਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਐਲਾਨੀ ਵਸਤ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੇ 50 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਫਲੈਟ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਐਕਸਪੋਰਟ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕ ਭੇਜਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਾਨ ਬਣਾਏਗਾ ਜੋ ਪੋਸਟ ਆਫਿਸ ਜਾਂ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ।
ਡਾਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਡਾਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ 15 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇੰਡੀਆ ਪੋਸਟ ਨੇ ਅਗਸਤ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਡਾਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਵੇਂ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸ਼ਿਪਮੈਂਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਫ੍ਰੀ ਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਰੋਕ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕ ਭੇਜਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
ਡਾਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਯੂਐੱਸ ਕਸਟਮਜ਼ ਐਂਡ ਬਾਰਡਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੈਕਸ਼ਨ (ਸੀਬੀਪੀ) ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕ ਭੇਜਣ ਤੇ ਕਸਟਮ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਨਵੇਂ ਟੈਰਿਫ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਐਲਾਨੀ ਵਸਤ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਦੇ 50 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਫਲੈਟ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਡਿਲਿਵਰੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਪੇਡ (ਡੀਡੀਪੀ) ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਸਟਮ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਭਰੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਲਿਵਰੀ ਵੇਲੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਲੰਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਡਾਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਡਿਲਿਵਰਡ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਪੇਡ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ ਗਾਹਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਖਰਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਐਮਐੱਸਐੱਮਈਆਂ, ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਵਪਾਰਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਡਾਕ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਸਸਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾਨ ਬਣੇਗਾ।
ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਡਾਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ, ਪੈਕੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਡਾਕ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਭੇਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਰੋਕ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਫਟਾਂ ਭੇਜਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਆਮ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣਗੀਆਂ। ਡਾਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਗਾਹਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਡਾਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਪੋਸਟ ਆਫਿਸ, ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ (ਆਈਬੀਸੀ), ਡਾਕ ਘਰ ਨਿਰਯਾਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ (ਡੀਐੱਨਕੇ) ਜਾਂ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਪੋਸਟ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਣ ਅਤੇ ਐਲਾਨੀ ਵਸਤ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਸਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਸਟਮ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਲੰਬ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਐਕਸਪੋਰਟ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕ ਚੈਨਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਸਟ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
The Department of Posts announced today that all categories of international postal services from India to the United States will resume from October 15, 2025. India Post had suspended all postal services to the US in August 2025 due to new US regulations that ended duty-free exemptions for most shipments from foreign countries, including letters and parcels. This suspension affected Indian students and other groups, causing difficulties in sending mail.
The Department of Posts stated that according to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidelines, customs duty on postal items sent from India to the US will be applied at a flat rate of 50% of the declared value under the new tariff rules. This new system, known as Delivery Duty Paid (DDP), will collect the customs duty upfront in India, ensuring faster clearance and no delays in delivery to the US. The Department of Posts has also clarified that no additional charges will be levied on customers for facilitating Delivered Duty Paid and qualified party services, and postal tariffs will remain unchanged. This will make international postal services affordable for MSMEs, traders, and small businesses.
This announcement by the Department of Posts will provide relief to people sending letters, packets, and other mail from India to the US. During the suspension, Indian students and families faced issues in sending letters and gifts, but now these services will operate normally. The Department of Posts has advised customers to send their mail through any post office, International Business Centre (IBC), Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra (DNK), or the India Post online portal and to declare the value accurately to avoid delays in customs duty. This step will also boost India's exports and enhance trade through the postal channel.
