ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ, ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ
ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਂਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਤੇ ਵਧੀਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਏ ਸਨ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਹੋਈ। ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਮੁਅੱਤਲੀ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਈਪੀਐੱਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਂਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਧੂ ਚਾਰਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਨੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਦੀ ਮੁਅੱਤਲੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮੁਅੱਤਲੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖਾਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਧੀਕੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਝੂਠੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੰਘੇ ਦਿਨ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵੱਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਾਰੇ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਐੱਸਪੀ (ਡਿਟੈਕਟਿਵ) ਰਿਪੁਰਦਮਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਆਈਏ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਭਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਛਾਪੇ ਮਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਰਪੰਚ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਸਰਪੰਚ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਝੂਠੀ ਐੱਫਆਈਆਰ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਹੁਣ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਰਵਜੋਤ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਦੀ ਮੁਅੱਤਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਨਵੇਂ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਂਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
The Election Commission has immediately suspended Tarn Taran SSP Ravjot Kaur Grewal and appointed IPS officer Surinder Lamba as the new SSP. This action was taken just three days before the by-election. Earlier, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar was given additional charge of Tarn Taran. Tarn Taran Deputy Commissioner Rahul confirmed the suspension order of SSP Ravjot Grewal, but the Election Commission did not specify any particular reason for the suspension.
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal had yesterday leveled serious allegations against SSP Ravjot Grewal for misconduct with party workers. He had complained to Punjab's Chief Electoral Officer that during the Tarn Taran by-election, Akali Dal workers were being prevented from campaigning by registering false police cases. The Akali Dal had also staged a major protest against the police administration in Tarn Taran the previous day. Sukhbir Badal alleged that on the SSP's instructions, Akali leaders were being illegally detained.
Along with the SSP Ravjot Grewal, SP (Detective) Ripudaman Singh and CIA Staff In-charge Prabhjit Singh were also accused of misusing their positions. These officers were conducting illegal raids on Akali Dal workers. The Akali Dal stated that party councilor Sham Singh, sarpanch Varinder Singh, and former sarpanch Balwinder Singh were illegally detained. They were threatened with false FIRs for not supporting Aam Aadmi Party candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu. Mr. Badal had demanded a fair inquiry against these officers.
Now, after the suspension of SSP Ravjot Grewal, Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal has welcomed this action. The Election Commission's strictness and the allegations against police officers in the Tarn Taran by-election have heated up the atmosphere. The new SSP Surinder Lamba has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the elections in a fair and peaceful manner.
