ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ 24 ਤੋਂ 31 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਨੰਨਦਿਤਾ ਮਿੱਤਰਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰੇ 24 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ 31 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਸਕੂਲ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਣਗੇ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜਨਵਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੰਢ ਵਧਣ 'ਤੇ ਇਹ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਅਕਸਰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ (Winter Vacations) ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰੇ 24 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ 31 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਨੰਨਦਿਤਾ ਮਿੱਤਰਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸਕੂਲ 1 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸਰਕੂਲਰ ਦੀ ਕਾਪੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ, ਐਸਸੀਈਆਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ 19 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ 35 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਠੰਢ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਘਣੀ ਧੁੰਦ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜਨਵਰੀ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੰਢ ਦੇ ਵਧਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਸਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The Punjab government has provided major relief to students by announcing winter vacations (Sardi Diyan Chhuttiyan) in all schools across the state. According to the official orders issued today, all educational institutions in Punjab, including Government Schools and Private Schools, will remain closed from December 24 to December 31.
Anandita Mitra, Secretary of the School Education Department, issued these orders, clarifying that the schools will reopen on January 1. A copy of this circular has been dispatched to all schools, the SCERT, and the Punjab School Education Department.
Punjab has over 19,000 Government Schools, where more than 35 lakh students receive education. These holidays are primarily declared in view of the dense cold and fog that prevails across North India. It is noteworthy that in past years, the winter vacations have frequently been extended further into January due to the intensifying cold weather.
