ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ 7 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 6 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 1.74 ਲੱਖ ਵੋਟਰ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣਗੇ। ਸਖ਼ਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ 14 ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਗਰਮ ਹੈ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਆਸ਼ੂ ਅਤੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਦੇ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਚੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ।
ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ, ਵੀਰਵਾਰ, 19 ਜੂਨ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 7 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 6 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸਖ਼ਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ 1.74 ਲੱਖ ਵੋਟਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ। 194 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ 776 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਚੋਣ ਦੇ ਤਣਾਅਪੂਰਨ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ 1404 ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, 60 ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨਾਕੇ ਅਤੇ 19 ਗਸ਼ਤੀ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਚੋਣ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ 14 ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਗਰਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਵਾਹਰ ਨਗਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਆਸ਼ੂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਝੜਪ ਹੋਈ। ਆਸ਼ੂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਨ ਵੰਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਿਆ, ਪਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਾਰੇ ’ਤੇ ਧੱਕੇਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਆਸ਼ੂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫਸਰ ਹਿਮਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਜੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਿਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੰਗੀ ਹੈ।

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal campaigned for their candidate, Parupkar Singh Ghuman, in the final days. A public holiday has been declared in Ludhiana on voting day, and 66 micro-observers are monitoring the process under the General Observer’s supervision. The intense rivalry between AAP and Congress has created a charged atmosphere.
