ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸੋਈ ਗੈਸ ਦੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ: ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰੀਬਿਊਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਘਟਣ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸੋਈ ਗੈਸ (LPG) ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਅੰਤਰ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਗੈਸ ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰੀਬਿਊਟਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋੜ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸਿਲੰਡਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਦੋਆਬਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੂਰੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸੋਈ ਗੈਸ (LPG) ਦੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਸੋਈ ਦਾ ਬਜਟ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੂਨ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਗੈਸ ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰੀਬਿਊਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਕਾਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰੀਬਿਊਟਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਤੇਲ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਹੀ ਗੈਸ ਸਿਲੰਡਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋਡਿੰਗ ਘੱਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਖਪਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਕਿੰਗ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਸਿਲੰਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੇ। ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੈਸ ਲਈ ਲੰਬੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਬਲੈਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਭਾਅ 'ਤੇ ਗੈਸ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰੀਬਿਊਟਰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੈਸ ਪਲਾਂਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਘੱਟ ਆਉਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਖਪਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੱਸੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਧਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਜਤਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਰੋਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਰੁਕਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
A significant gap between the Central Government's claims and the ground reality has emerged regarding the supply of cooking gas (LPG) in Punjab. While the Centre asserts that there is no shortage of gas in the country, gas distributors in Punjab have refuted these claims, confirming a major dip in supply across the state.
According to distributors, oil companies have reduced the loading of gas cylinders at the source. Consequently, consumers are not receiving cylinders even several days after booking. The situation is particularly dire in rural areas, where people are forced to wait in long queues or buy gas at inflated prices in the black market.
The Distributors' Union stated that they are unable to meet consumer demand due to the low supply from gas plants. Technical reasons or potential future price hikes are being speculated as the cause behind this shortage. There is widespread public resentment as sky-high inflation coupled with the disruption of essential supplies has further compounded the hardships of common citizens.
