ਮੱਧ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਜੰਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਆਂ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸਾਫਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਧਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਨੇ ਯੂਰਪ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਟਾਂ 'ਤੇ 36 ਵਾਧੂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਤੇ ਬਦਲਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਪੱਛਮੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਫੌਜੀ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਹੁਣ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸਫ਼ਰ 'ਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੰਕਟ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਈ ਹਵਾਈ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ 'ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ' ਨੇ ਯੂਰਪ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਸਾਫਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ 36 ਵਾਧੂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜੰਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਖੇਤਰ (airspace) ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਆਂ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਲਬਧਤਾ ਘਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਧੂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹਤ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਬੇ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਰਗੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਡਨ, ਪੈਰਿਸ, ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਰਗੇ ਗੰਤਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਵਾਈ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਕਰਨੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਰਾਨੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਖੇਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਰੂਟਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਲਣ ਦੀ ਖਪਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਖਰਚੇ ਵੀ ਵਧੇ ਹਨ। ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁਸਾਫਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
