ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਾਸ ਨੇ ਟਰੰਪ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਲਈ ਹਾਮੀ ਭਰੀ

ਇਹ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਰਮ ਅਲ-ਸ਼ੇਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਬਾਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ, ਕਤਾਰ, ਮਿਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਲਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹਮਾਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਕਰਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲੀ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਟਰੰਪ ਦੀ 20-ਬਿੰਦੂ ਵਾਲੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਅਧੀਨ ਹਮਾਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖੇ 20 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਦਕਿ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਲਗਭਗ 2000 ਫਲਸਤੀਨੀ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮਾਸ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਜੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬੈਂਜਾਮਿਨ ਨੇਤਨਯਾਹੂ ਨੇ ਐਕਸ ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੂੰ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਧਕ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਲਈ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਲਿਆਉਣਗੇ। ਹਮਾਸ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਓਸਾਮਾ ਹਮਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਲ-ਅਰਬੀ ਟੀਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੈਦ ਹੋਏ 1700 ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਲੰਬੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਕਟ ਰਹੇ 250 ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਕਮਾਂਡਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲੀ ਫੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਸਿਟੀ, ਖਾਨ ਯੂਨਿਸ, ਰਫਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਪੰਜ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ। ਨੇਤਨਯਾਹੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਜੰਗਬੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਸੰਸਦ ਫਲਸਤੀਨੀ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ਸੱਜੇ-ਪੱਖੀ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਹੁਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ। ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ 24 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਨ।

Washington/Cairo, October 8 – Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of US President Donald Trump's peace plan. This agreement is part of a deal to end the bloody war raging in Gaza for two years, which includes a ceasefire and an exchange of hostages and prisoners. In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his pride in this first phase of the plan, stating that all hostages will be released soon and Israeli forces will withdraw to a selected line in Gaza. This is the initial step towards a strong and lasting peace.

This agreement came after three days of talks in Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh, where the US, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey mediated. In a separate statement, Hamas confirmed acceptance of the deal, ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the entry of aid materials into Gaza. Under the first phase of Trump's 20-point plan, Hamas will release the 20 living hostages it holds, while Israel will free approximately 2000 Palestinian prisoners. This exchange will play a major role in stopping the war that began with Hamas's attack in October 2023.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Trump in a post on X and said that with this, all hostages will return home, calling it a national and moral victory for Israel. He added that with God's help, they will bring them home. Hamas senior official Osama Hamdan told Al-Araby TV that they want the release of 1700 prisoners captured during the war in Gaza, in addition to 250 serving long sentences. He stated that they have provided names of commanders for release and that Israeli forces should withdraw from densely populated areas like Gaza City, Khan Yunis, Rafah, and northern Gaza.

Five border crossings will be opened for aid flow into Gaza, and the Israeli forces' withdrawal could start late Thursday or on Friday. Netanyahu will convene the security cabinet late Thursday to approve the ceasefire, after which the full parliament will vote on the release of Palestinian prisoners. This agreement is expected to pass with a large majority despite opposition from right-wing ministers. After approval, Israel will issue a list of prisoners to be released, giving victims 24 hours to appeal in the Supreme Court.

This agreement has been welcomed worldwide, but uncertainties remain on issues like Hamas disarming and who will govern Gaza. Qatar's Prime Minister's spokesperson said on X that this agreement is for stopping the war, releasing hostages and prisoners, and allowing aid entry, with details to be announced later. Trump told Fox News that the hostage release might happen on Monday and he may visit the region himself. This first phase between Israel and Hamas advances Trump's peace plan, which could bring peace to Gaza.
