ਆਪ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਰਾਹਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੇਸ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਣ ਅਤੇ ਛੇੜਛਾੜ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਕੇਸ ਦਾ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਮੰਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ 18 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਖਡੂਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਹਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਸਟਿਸ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਨ ਦਾਹੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਗਲ ਬੈਂਚ ਨੇ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੇਸ ਦਾ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਮੰਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ 18 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਦੱਸਣਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ 3 ਮਾਰਚ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ, ਅੱਠ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਣ, ਛੇੜਛਾੜ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ 10 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਕੈਦ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪੀਲ ਦਾਇਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਰਾਹਤ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੁਣ ਆਪ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The Punjab and Haryana High Court today did not grant any relief to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura from Khadoor Sahib constituency. The High Court refused to stay the sentence awarded to the MLA by the Tarn Taran court. The single bench of Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya in the High Court has summoned the case record from the lower court. The next hearing of the case will be on November 18.
It is worth noting that Tarn Taran police had registered a case on March 3, 2013, against Manjinder Singh Lalpura, eight police personnel, and three others on charges of beating a woman, molestation, and assault. The Tarn Taran court had on September 10, 2025, sentenced Lalpura and others to four years imprisonment, against which the convicts had filed an appeal in the High Court.
Due to not getting relief from the High Court, the legislative assembly membership of AAP MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura may now be in danger. This matter is related to the sentence of AAP MLA Lalpura and the decision of the High Court.
