ਅਮਰੀਕਾ 'ਚ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ 30 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ; ਦੇਸ਼ ਨਿਕਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਲਟਕੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ
ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਮੀਗ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ 30 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਭੇਜਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਢੀ ਗਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ 30 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਇਮੀਗ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਟਮਜ਼ ਇਨਫੋਰਸਮੈਂਟ (ICE) ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜਕੰਪ ਮਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਜਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
ਜਾਂਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਛਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਫੜੇ ਗਏ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਵਰਕ ਪਰਮਿਟ ਜਾਂ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇਮੀਗ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਭੇਜਿਆ (Deport) ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਦੂਤਾਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਮੀਗ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
