ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ: ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 57 ਕਰੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਤੀ
ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 57.47 ਕਰੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੀਮਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਨਕਦ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਕੁੱਲ 1,92,838 ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ 222 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਬਣੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ 11 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਬਿਨ ਸੀ ਨੇ ਨਾਕਿਆਂ ਤੇ 24 ਘੰਟੇ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 57.47 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੀਮਤ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਤੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ 11 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ 14 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਚੋਣ ਆਯੋਗ ਨੇ 6 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ 13 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮਾਂਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਮਿਤੀ 21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 32 ਲੱਖ 89 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 160 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਵਾਲੀ 51 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 429.50 ਲੀਟਰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, 56 ਕਰੋੜ 67 ਲੱਖ 10 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 500 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਵਾਲੇ 21 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 811.10 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ, 9 ਲੱਖ 73 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 480 ਰੁਪਏ ਨਕਦ ਪੈਸੇ ਅਤੇ 37 ਲੱਖ 85 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 700 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜ਼ਬਤੀਆਂ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਬਿਨ ਸੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇਹ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਲਕਾ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ 24 ਘੰਟੇ ਨਾਕਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀਸੀਟੀਵੀ ਕੈਮਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੱਥ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 1,92,838 ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 1,00,933 ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵੋਟਰ, 91,897 ਮਹਿਲਾ ਵੋਟਰ ਅਤੇ 8 ਤੀਜੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕੁੱਲ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਵੋਟਰ 1,357 ਹਨ, 85 ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੋਟਰ 1,657 ਹਨ, ਐੱਨ.ਆਰ.ਆਈ ਵੋਟਰ 306 ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਵਿਆਂਗ ਵੋਟਰ 1,488 ਹਨ। 18 ਤੋਂ 19 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੋਟਰ 3,333 ਹਨ।
ਸਿਬਿਨ ਸੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 114 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ 222 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ: 60 ਅਤੇ ਪੇਂਡੂ: 162)। ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਗਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਫਲਾਈੰਗ ਸਕਵਾਡ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਹਲਕਾ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਹੈ।
Following the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct for the by-election in the Tarn Taran assembly constituency, items worth more than 57.47 crore rupees have been seized so far. The police have seized 51,429.50 liters of liquor worth 32 lakh 89 thousand 160 rupees, 21,811.10 grams of narcotic substances worth 56 crore 67 lakh 10 thousand 500 rupees, cash of 9 lakh 73 thousand 480 rupees, and other goods worth 37 lakh 85 thousand 700 rupees. These seizures aim to curb illegal trafficking.
Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C released these details today and stated that instructions have been given to the police administration to maintain 24-hour surveillance at checkpoints in the Tarn Taran segment using CCTV cameras to prevent illegal trafficking. He also informed that the total number of voters in the Tarn Taran segment is 1,92,838. This includes 1,00,933 male voters, 91,897 female voters, and 8 third-gender voters. Additionally, there are 1,357 service voters, 1,657 voters above 85 years, 306 NRI voters, and 1,488 disabled voters. Voters aged 18 to 19 number 3,333.
Sibin C further stated that 222 polling stations have been set up at 114 polling locations (urban: 60 and rural: 162). Flying squad teams have been deployed to facilitate the election process, and strict monitoring is ongoing at checkpoints. The Tarn Taran segment borders the international border, so special security arrangements are in place.
