ਮਿਸੀਸਾਗਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਢੱਡਾ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ
ਮਿਸੀਸਾਗਾ ਵਿਚ 50 ਸਾਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਢੱਡਾ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ 15-16 ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਚਸ਼ਮਦੀਦਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਹਰਜੀਤ ਢੱਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਮਿਸੀਸਾਗਾ ਦੇ ਡੈਰੀ ਰੋਡ ਨੇੜੇ ਟੈਲਫੋਰਡ ਵੇਅ 'ਤੇ 50 ਸਾਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਢੱਡਾ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਫਤਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਭਗ 15-16 ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਚਸ਼ਮਦੀਦਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਹਮਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਨੇੜਲੇ ਦਫਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇੱਕ ਚਸ਼ਮਦੀਦ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਗੋਲੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਫਤਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਲੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ 'ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਬਚ ਗਏ।
ਹਰਜੀਤ ਢੱਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਬ ਨਾ ਸਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਬੁਲਾਰੀ ਮਾਈਕਲ ਸਟੈਫਰਡ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਸੀਸੀਟੀਵੀ ਕੈਮਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਫੁੱਟੇਜ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਜੀਤ ਢੱਡਾ ਉਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਦੇ ਬਾਜਪੁਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਭਗ 30 ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਆਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਾਈ। ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨੰਬਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਲ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Mississauga, Canada – Harjit Singh Dhadda, a 50-year-old Punjabi trucking businessman, was shot dead in broad daylight near Derry Road and Telford Way in Mississauga. The incident occurred while he was sitting in his car outside his office. Unknown assailants fired approximately 15-16 bullets at him before fleeing the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers arrived in a vehicle, opened fire, and quickly escaped. During the shooting, nearby office workers evacuated to ensure their safety. One witness mentioned that a bullet struck an empty chair in their office, narrowly missing them.
Dhadda was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries. Peel Police spokesperson Michael Stafford stated that the case is under investigation, and CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed.
Originally from Bajpur district in Uttarakhand, Dhadda moved to Canada nearly 30 years ago and established himself in the trucking industry. According to close associates, he had been receiving threats from Indian numbers in recent times, and Peel Police had previously cautioned him.
The investigation into this targeted killing continues as authorities work to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
