ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ 140 ਕਰੋੜ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ 2036 ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ 'ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਖੇਡ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਵਧਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
ਭਾਰਤ ਹੁਣ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਦੀ ਰਾਹ 'ਤੇ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ 2036 ਦੀਆਂ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ (Olympics 2036) ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਓਲੰਪਿਕਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਹਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੁਣ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਾਂਝ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਅ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹੁਣ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ, ਅਤਿ-ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੀ.ਐਮ. ਮੋਦੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਓਲੰਪਿਕਸ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਰੂਹ ਫੂਕੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਾਂਝ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਗੂੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਸੰਘ (IOA) ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ (IOC) ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਸਾਧਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮਾਹਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਰ-ਸਪਾਟਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

He stated that hosting the Olympics is the dream of every Indian, and this dream is now very close to becoming a reality.
Emphasizing India’s new-found bonding and passion for sports, the Prime Minister noted that in recent years, Indian athletes have brought glory to the country with their stellar performances on the international stage. The government is now investing in massive projects for sports infrastructure, state-of-the-art stadiums, and athlete training. According to PM Modi, organizing the Olympics will breathe new life into sports among India’s youth and deepen our cultural bond with the entire world.
Under this mission, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has already established contact with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Experts believe that if India secures this opportunity, it will prove to be a major milestone for the country's economy and tourism sector. Addressing the youth, the Prime Minister said that we must not only host the games but also record grand victories on the field.
