ਇਸ ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 24 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ, 2 ਸਥਾਨਕ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ 2 ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੀ 20 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ। ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨੇਵੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਊਦੀ ਅਰਬ ਦੌਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਟਘਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬੈਠਕ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।

On April 22, 2025, a horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, claimed the lives of at least 28 individuals, including numerous tourists. The assault occurred in the Baisaran meadow, a popular tourist destination accessible only by foot or horseback.
Authorities reported that militants affiliated with The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, were responsible for the attack. Witnesses stated that the assailants, dressed in military-style uniforms, approached tourists, demanded they recite Islamic verses, and targeted those who couldn't comply.
